About the Project

We’re building an AI-powered video platform that aggregates and processes content from multiple social media sources. Users interact with video data through contextual search, LLM-powered features, and AI agent workflows.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a Python focus who will work on backend services, AI integrations, agent-based workflows, and AWS infrastructure.

Python is the primary language for this role.
Experience with Node.js / TypeScript is a strong advantage and an important part of the existing backend stack. Familiarity with React is a plus.

Your Role

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll take ownership of backend services, APIs, integrations, AI-powered features, and agent workflows.

Most of the new backend and AI-related development is done in Python, while the product also includes existing Node.js / TypeScript services that you may contribute to.

You’ll work closely with frontend, product, CTO and participate in architecture and technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
• Build AI- and agent-powered backend functionality
• Develop APIs and integrations with external services and AI providers
• Build and maintain serverless services on AWS Lambda
• Work with AWS services including Cognito, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Step Functions
• Design asynchronous and event-driven workflows
• Integrate LLMs and AI services into production systems
• Work with structured data and validation using Pydantic
• Contribute to existing Node.js / TypeScript backend services
• Troubleshoot backend performance, integrations, and production issues

• Participate in architecture and technical design decisions

Your Role

As a Full-Stack Engineer with a frontend focus, you’ll take ownership of the web application and work closely with backend and AI services.

Most of your work will be around React and TypeScript, but you should also be comfortable working with Node.js backend services, APIs, and AWS infrastructure.

Python is used mainly within AI and agent-related services. Deep Python expertise is not required, but you should be comfortable reading and understanding an existing Python codebase.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex frontend functionality using React and TypeScript
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components
• Work with asynchronous data flows, APIs, React Query, and client-side state
• Integrate frontend functionality with backend and AI-powered services
• Contribute to backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Work with AWS services including Lambda, Cognito, DynamoDB, and Step Functions
• Collaborate on application architecture and technical decisions
• Troubleshoot frontend performance and integration issues
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards
• Work closely with product, backend, and AI engineers

What We’re Looking For

• Mid-to-Senior level experience in full-stack software development
• Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture and component design
• Experience with API integrations and asynchronous frontend workflows
• Good practical experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Understanding of backend architecture and REST APIs
• Experience working with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with services such as Lambda, Cognito, DynamoDB, or Step Functions
• Basic familiarity with Python and ability to understand an existing Python codebase
• Ability to independently own features from implementation through production
• English B2 or higher

Your Role

The core backend stack is Node.js / TypeScript, with Python used for AI agents and related services. You’ll also contribute to React-based frontend development when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Mid-to-Senior level experience in full-stack software development
• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript
• Good understanding of backend architecture and REST APIs
• Practical experience with AWS, particularly serverless architecture
• Experience with services such as Lambda, Cognito, DynamoDB, and Step Functions
• At least basic-to-intermediate knowledge of Python and the ability to work with an existing Python codebase
• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud infrastructure
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions
