Your Mission

Build and own automated workflows that interact with enterprise web platforms. You're both the builder and the quality guardian: you write the automation, verify it actually works correctly on real data, monitor production, and fix issues when they surface. This isn't "write tests for someone else's code" — it's "own the automation end to end."

What You'll Do

Core automation

• Build Python workflows that drive enterprise web portals (Playwright)
• Design error handling, retry logic, and exception flows — the portal will be down sometimes, and the automation needs to handle it
• Process transactions end-to-end through forms, validations, and confirmations

Quality & monitoring

• Verify outputs — build validation scripts, cross-check against source data, ensure accuracy
• Instrument for observability — logging, dashboards, success-rate tracking
• Investigate anomalies proactively, not reactively

Collaboration

• Active participation in team ceremonies — daily and weekly syncs, planning, retros. Video on, present, engaged.
• Real-time communication on Slack during working hours — fast responses, not "I'll reply tomorrow"
• Proactive status updates — flag risks and delays within hours, not days
• Clear written English for PRs, issue descriptions, and documentation

What We're Looking For

Must-have

• Python, 2+ years of production experience
• Browser automation — Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar in real projects
• Quality-first mindset — "Does it actually work correctly?" is your default question
• Production-aware — you check whether your code works in prod, not just on your machine
• Active AI coding tool usage with the habit of verifying AI output, not rubber-stamping it
• High-quality communication — you stay online, responsive, and engaged during working hours. If you prefer a low-communication, head-down-for-days style, this team won't feel right.
• Written English (B1+) — PRs, issues, docs
• Ukrainian FOP contractor — or able to register before start; we hire directly, not via EOR or staffing
• Overlapping CET business hours — active participation in team ceremonies with video on

Strong plus

• Experience transitioning from QA automation to development, or a combined QA+dev role
• AWS basics (ECS, S3, CloudWatch)
• Docker
• SQL (PostgreSQL) for data verification
• Workflow orchestration (Prefect, Airflow, Celery, or similar)

Why This Role

You'll work directly with engineering leadership that stays in the code — writing automation, debugging production, and reviewing PRs with you. No layer between who decides and who builds, no HR filter between you and product decisions. The role has ~60% production maintenance (debugging broken selectors, fixing overnight failures, investigating data anomalies) and ~40% building new automation workflows. If you want pure greenfield coding all day, this isn't it. If you want ownership of something real in production, it is.

We hire at Middle, Senior, or Lead — we don't pre-define your level. The interview decides based on demonstrated technical depth and ownership. Compensation scales accordingly within the $2,200-4,500 net band. A structured review after probation adjusts level and pay based on actual performance.

Interview Process

As a Middle-Senior Email Marketing Manager, you’ll fully own newsletter growth, engagement, and monetization across a high-volume, performance-driven portfolio.

This role is for someone who treats newsletters as a revenue channel, not just a publishing task. You’ll work closely with authors, AI writers, designers, and monetization partners to ensure every send is optimized for opens, clicks, and revenue while maintaining strong editorial quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Email & Newsletter Performance Ownership

• Own end-to-end newsletter strategy, publishing, and optimization
• Optimize subject lines, preheaders, layouts, CTAs, and content flow
• Maintain consistent, high-quality publishing schedules across all newsletters
• Review, QA, and approve all outgoing content before sending
• Ability to oversee daily sends across 15–20 newsletter publications within a structured operational system

- Monetization & Advertising Optimization

• Integrate ads natively within newsletters to maximize CTR and revenue
• Test ad placements, formats, and messaging without harming reader trust
• Analyze performance and continuously improve monetization strategy

- Scaling & Team Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with writers, AI tools, designers, and growth teams
• Build repeatable processes, guidelines, and quality standards
• Provide weekly performance insights and improvement recommendations

 Requirements:

• Strong experience in email marketing
• Deep understanding of email performance metrics: open rate, CTR, conversions, revenue per send
• Hands-on experience managing multiple email campaigns at scale
• Comfortable using AI tools in daily workflows
• Strong editorial and layout instincts (formatting, hierarchy, readability)
• Excellent organization and ability to manage 15–20+ newsletters simultaneously
• Strong QA mindset with zero tolerance for broken links, typos, or formatting errors
