Our client is developing a platform with a diverse and evolving set of modules and features. The platform includes existing modules that are being improved, as well as large new epics that provide completely new functionality for customers. One concrete example mentioned is the development of a new module for vendor risk management. We are looking for a Principal Solution Architect to lead multiple engineering teams while remaining actively involved in technical architecture and strategic engineering decisions. 

This role is ideal for an experienced Frontend Architect / Technical Lead who enjoys designing scalable commerce frontends, establishing technical standards, and driving successful delivery across complex, high-traffic ecommerce platforms.

As a Frontend Architect, you will own the technical direction for a distributed delivery team, designing frontend architectures, breaking complex epics into implementable stories, defining coding standards, and resolving technical ambiguity before it reaches a sprint. You will work directly with clients during discovery and sprint planning, partner with engineering leads and senior engineers through design reviews and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and collaborate asynchronously across time zones.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in frontend architecture and leading distributed engineering teams of 3+ people.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript in enterprise-level applications.
• Deep understanding of modern web architecture, including SSR, React Server Components, App Router, edge computing, and serverless patterns.
• Strong expertise in web performance engineering, including Core Web Vitals, CDN configuration, caching strategies, and performance optimization.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in frontend performance and scalability.
• Experience designing and documenting architectural decisions, including the use of Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

Responsibilities:

• Own the frontend technical direction for a distributed delivery team working on enterprise ecommerce platforms.

• Strong hands-on experience in growth / performance marketing for dating, social discovery, live-streaming, or IAP products, across both mobile apps and web funnels
• Demonstrable strong command of unit economics (CAC, LTV, ARPU, ARPPU, ROMI, payback, contribution margin) — able to build the model, not just read it
