We are looking for an AQA Engineer (TypeScript + Playwright) to build a Playwright-based E2E automation framework from scratch for an AI-driven healthcare platform.

About The Project 

Our client is a US-based early-stage startup building an AI-driven platform for medtech and healthcare companies. The product helps automate critical processes such as documentation management, risk management, testing, and compliance with industry standards. 

Experience & Background:

• 4+ years of experience in QA Automation with a strong focus on End-to-End (E2E) testing. 
• Proven experience building and maintaining Playwright-based frameworks from scratch (TypeScript). 
• Advocate for AI-assisted delivery: efficient use of AI tools (Claude Code) to accelerate framework setup and test authoring. 
• Strong delivery focus: ability to work independently, take ownership of the framework setup, and ensure a high-quality handoff to the internal team. 
• Upper-Intermediate English level or higher, with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts during syncs. 

• Nice to have: experience in Healthcare, Biotech, or other regulated environments. 

   

Technical Skills:

• Playwright & TypeScript. 
• UI, API, and E2E Test Automation. 
• Page Object Model (POM), Fixtures, and efficient Auth state management. 
• Test data management: experience with automated database seeding (PostgreSQL). 
• CI/CD integration: focus on Jenkins (Pipeline-as-code) and Docker. 
• Multi-user / RBAC testing 
• External IdP auth experience (WorkOS / Auth0 / Okta) 
• Testing async/non-deterministic AI-driven flows 
• Ephemeral / disposable test environments (spin-up → seed → teardown per run in Jenkins/EC2) 

• A plus: Basic understanding of AWS, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code. 

   

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a scalable Playwright framework for a complex, AI-driven platform. 
• Automate critical path scenarios ensuring reliability and stable execution. 
• Work closely with developers to implement stable test hooks and UI selectors. 
• Integrate the test suite into the Jenkins pipeline and set up clear failure diagnostics (traces, videos). 
• Optimize test execution time through parallelization and smart data management. 
• Produce clear technical documentation and provide a structured handoff to ensure long-term framework ownership by the internal team. 
• Communicate with stakeholders to align on priorities and delivery timelines. 

Please note: We are open to candidates across Europe and Ukraine, however, cooperation is available only under a Ukrainian engagement format.

PROJECT: We are a software and design studio working on Linux and open source, with a globally distributed team, concentrated in Ukraine and spread around the world. You administer our systems and keep them running: Nextcloud, our Docker-based services, Gogs, Redmine, Strapi, our website hosting and the usual Linux infrastructure. You automate routine tasks and document your work so the team can rely on it.

REQUIREMENTS: Solid experience administering Linux servers (Debian or Ubuntu). Confident on the command line and with shell scripting. Practical Docker and Docker Compose experience. Nextcloud administration. Experience with Git (Gogs or similar). Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, reverse proxy). You document what you do, clearly and reliably. You actively use AI tools in your daily work (we use Claude) for scripting, troubleshooting and documentation. Good English (reading and writing).

NICE TO HAVE: Web hosting and CMS administration (Strapi or similar). Redmine administration. Nginx as reverse proxy and TLS certificate handling. WireGuard or other VPN setups. Backup strategies and restore testing. Basic monitoring and CI.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Operating and maintaining our systems (Nextcloud, Gogs, Redmine, Strapi, website hosting, Docker-based services). Handling updates and patches. Setting up and testing backups. Light monitoring. Documenting the infrastructure so it stays maintainable for the whole team.
