We are looking for a Middle Automation QA Engineer to join our team in Poland. The role will primarily focus on API testing (80%) with UI testing (20%). You will help design, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks, ensuring efficient and scalable testing.

Key Responsibilities:

— Contribute to designing and improving automation testing strategies.

— Develop and maintain automation frameworks for API, UI, and LLM validation.

— Ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability of automation code.

— API Testing: Develop automated API tests in Python using the Requests library.

— UI Testing: Create and maintain UI tests with Playwright.

— Integrate automated tests with Postman collections where applicable.

— Execute performance, regression, and functional tests.

— Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred).

— Work with Docker and Kubernetes to manage and scale test environments.

— Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to improve the QA process.

— Write test plans, strategies, and design documents.

— Track issues using Jira and manage test cases (Xray optional).

— Analyze logs, investigate failures, and troubleshoot in staging and production.

Required Skills:

— 5 years of experience in test automation or a related QA role.

— Strong programming skills in Python.

— Solid experience in API automation (Requests library) and UI automation (Playwright).

— Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins preferred).

— Experience with Docker & Kubernetes for test environments.

— Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

— Experience with Jira for tracking and reporting.

— Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

— Experience with Kafka.

— Familiarity with X-ray for test management.

— Knowledge of AWS cloud services.

The project is centered around the continuous development and enhancement of a complex software platform built within an existing large framework, with a strong focus on stability, performance, and maintainability.
The role involves working as part of a cross-functional Scrum team, collaborating closely with software engineers, UX analysts, and senior team members to implement new functionality, improve existing components, and ensure reliable operation of the solution.

• Responsibilities:

  • Work together with other Scrum team members on a project within the client's software suite
  • Participate in Scrum planning sessions by analyzing the work to be done
  • Implement new functionality or code refactors based on detailed specifications and mock-ups
  • Closely work together with other development team members and a UX analyst
  • Discuss technical design with senior team members when needed
  • Participate in writing unit tests for newly developed functionality
  • Participate in performing code reviews
  • Report work progress on a daily basis
  • Focus on bug fixing when needed

• Mandatory Skills Description:

  • Master degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent through experience
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in development of high-quality software solutions within an existing large framework
  • Good knowledge of relevant programming languages and supporting frameworks (C++, Qt, QML)
  • Knowledge of 3D Rendering (OpenGL, Vulkan, ...) is an asset
  • Open and good communicator
  • Ability to work independently and know when to escalate or discuss challenges or identified issues
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
