We are looking for a proactive Head of Business Development to lead and scale our Business Development team at UnderDefense - a bootstrapped, profitable cybersecurity company behind an Agentic Security Automation platform for AI SOC and Compliance.
 

As Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for OUTCOMES: process, metrics, continuous improving outbound performance, planning campaigns, targeting CISOs and IT Directors, and managing our US based outsourced cold-calling partner.
 

The main goal is to lead a high-performing outbound team of 6 BDRs, managing different outbound channels - inbound, linkedin, cold-colling, services, outbound. You will drive continuous process improvements through data-driven decision-making, and personally contribute to testing and scaling new outbound approaches.
 

Key responsibilities

• Direct management of the BDR team (6 people + an outsourcing partner): goal-setting, coaching, performance review, hiring and onboarding.
• Ownership of quarterly SQL/pipeline targets and team economics (pipeline-to-cost multiplier).
• Managing the team's commission/bonus structure.
• Owning the relationship with the outsourced cold-calling partner: quality control, budget, SOW.
• Ownership of the outbound/lead-gen tool stack (CRM, email sequencing, LinkedIn outreach, data verification) and its evolution.
• Regular reporting to leadership on funnel performance, MQL→SQL→Opportunity conversion, and campaign ROI.
• Close collaboration with Marketing, Account Executives, and Customer Success on ICP, messaging, and deal handoff.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing a BDR/SDR team of 8+ people, ideally in a leadership role
• Overall experience 5+ years in sales or business development
• Experience in B2B SaaS - cybersecurity or adjacent tech sales is a strong plus
• Hands-on experience with a CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce) and outbound tooling (Apollo.io, Sales Navigator, sequencing/warm-up platforms, LinkedIn outreach tools)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead production across our newsletter portfolio of 150+ media products. This is a hands-on ownership role: you will run the production pipeline end to end, from brief to handoff to marketing, coordinating the cross-functional teams involved, with full accountability for delivery.

Production is fully in-house, on our own products. A project is a launch or a rebuild on a live product: web pages, email templates, interactive elements, and the creative work behind them. The team ships 5+ projects per week, alongside priority requests that surface mid-cycle.

You will run planning and allocation within agreed priorities and capacity rules, build and maintain the production schedule, uphold the quality standard on everything that ships, and keep the pipeline moving so the team remains unblocked and equipped to deliver. As the team scales, you will take part in hiring and own onboarding into the process. The role reports to the Head of Production.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery

• Own delivery end to end, from incoming request to launch.
• Maintain the production schedule: scope, owner, and delivery date for everything in progress.
• Allocate capacity across the team against priority and deadline.
• Sequence urgent requests against committed work within agreed priorities and confirm revised dates with the team that asked.
• Own the handoffs with the departments production depends on and resolve dependencies before they reach the schedule.
• Hold a definition of ready for every handoff, to designers and across departments: brief, references, access, deadline.

• Manage the design team: regular 1:1s, feedback, performance and retention, alongside task assignment, workload and delivery control.
• Review output against the brief and return it with defined corrections when it misses.
• Run QA (manual, partly automated) on everything that ships against the brief and compliance requirements.

Process

• Own the team's workflow and draft changes to cross-team processes; keep SOPs, templates, and checklists current.
• Find the cause of recurring delays and defects and change the process that produces them.
• Build the workflow so that delivery does not depend on manual follow-up.

Requirements

Must Have

• 4+ years in project, production, or delivery management.
• Experience leading a team's day-to-day delivery and holding the quality bar on what it ships.
• Experience managing people, not only coordinating their tasks: regular 1:1s, feedback, performance and retention.
• Planning and capacity management across parallel workstreams: estimates and their calibration, schedules, and workload distribution.

About the Role
 

We're building a card-acquiring platform from scratch — and there's a critical layer that sits between engineering and finance that nobody owns yet: how the product actually moves money.

That means merchant and BIN onboarding, scheme processing, settlement and reconciliation, fiat payouts via SEPA and SWIFT, and making sure all of it is safeguarding-compliant. Right now this layer lives across our CTO and CFO. You'll own it — end to end.

No legacy systems. No bureaucracy. No ticket conveyor belt. Just you, a small senior team, and a genuinely hard domain where the decisions you make in the first six months will shape how money flows through the platform for years.

This is not a CFO role — we don't expect P&L, capital adequacy, or FP&A. It's not a Scrum PO or a BA. It's the owner of the financial and payments product layer: someone who digs into the domain themselves, writes specs engineers can build from, and makes product decisions. Disputes/chargebacks, FX, and the merchant-facing portal sit in adjacent roles.

What You'll Own:
 

• Merchant & BIN onboarding — design how merchants get set up in our core processing platform, end to end.
• Scheme processing — get into the mechanics of authorisation, 3DS, clearing and settlement, and own the product decisions that follow.
• Settlement & reconciliation — define how money moves from scheme settlement into our ledger and through to safeguarding accounts. Spec it to the point engineering can build.

Fully remote company. The QA team is 15 people spread from China to Portugal, and we are adding one more.
 

Read this before you apply

This role has two hard requirements. If you don't meet both, please don't apply — it will waste your time and ours.

1. You know poker at a near-professional level. "I play with friends sometimes" is not enough. You should be comfortable discussing ranges, ICM, solver output, tournament structures and cash-game formats without looking anything up. In the interview we ask questions like:

• What edge cases should be tested in a Mystery Bounty MTT?
• You have access to the MTT back office. Which parameters would you set to break the tournament under the hood, and what would you expect to see on the client?
• Describe a spot in NLHE where folding pocket kings preflop is correct.

If those questions sound hard, this is not the role for you.

2. You work without being pushed. Everyone here is remote and your manager is often in a different timezone. Nobody will assign you tasks every morning. We expect you to see what needs testing, take it, and say plainly when something is blocked, late, or when you made a mistake. Sitting idle and waiting for a ticket, or hiding problems from your manager and the team, is the fastest way to fail here.

 

What you will do

• Test new and existing features of poker software: game clients (iOS, Android, web, desktop) and the tournament/back-office tools behind them.
• Write the test design before execution: test cases in TestRail, with clear coverage of the feature, its edge cases and its integrations with other systems.
• Run regression on every release and keep the regression suite up to date.
• Find, reproduce and report bugs in Jira with enough detail that a developer can fix them without asking you follow-up questions.
• Investigate issues reported by real players and turn them into reproducible bugs or a clear "not a bug" with evidence.
• Pick the parts of your area that should be automated and automate them (Playwright or Cypress), integrated with the rest of the team's automation.
• Work directly with the Product Manager and developers on your team. You own quality for that team: nobody signs off on your behalf.
• Report on what was tested, what wasn't, and what risk remains before each release.
• Use AI as a working tool, not a novelty. The QA team uses Claude.ai every day: to build internal QA tools, to generate and review test designs, to analyze logs and bug reports, and directly in testing. You will be expected to do the same and to find new places where it saves the team time.
• If you perform well, grow the area: more scope, and potentially your own sub-team.
  
   

What we require

• Poker proficiency close to a professional level (see above). You know what VPIP, PFR, ICM and a solver are without asking an LLM.
• 5+ years of hands-on QA in a fast-paced product environment.
• Strong experience testing native mobile apps on both iOS and Android, plus web applications.
• Strong test design skills: you can take a feature spec and produce a test case set with real coverage, not a list of happy paths.
• Hands-on experience with a test case management tools and Jira.

- Consult users on working with 1C/BAS systems in the areas of financial, tax, HR, payroll, and management accounting.
