About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend (PHP) Developer to join our team on a full-time basis. You will be a part of a motivated team that is responsible for implementing new functionality for one of the platforms, researching and evaluating technical solutions, and writing quality and maintainable code.

Key requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial PHP development experience
• Strong expertise in PHP 8+ with solid OOP
• Deep knowledge of Symfony and/or Laravel frameworks
• Strong experience with SQL databases (MySQL 8.0+, PostgreSQL 15+) including query optimization and indexing strategies
• Solid understanding and practical application of design and architectural patterns (Clean/Onion/Hexagonal architecture, SOA, SOLID, KISS, DRY, YAGNI)
• Hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) in production projects
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing distributed systems based on microservices
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and deploying to Kubernetes, familiarity with core Kubernetes concepts and kubectl commands for troubleshooting, as well as exposure to monitoring and logging tools like Grafana and Loki
• Practical experience with communication protocols (REST, JSON-RPC, gRPC), messaging systems (AMQP/RabbitMQ, Kafka), and real-time communication with WebSockets
• Strong experience in backend test automation with PHPUnit and Codeception (unit, functional, integration)
• Strong knowledge of Git workflow (PRs, code reviews) and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with caching systems and in-memory data stores (Redis, Memcached)
• Strong ownership mindset & Accountability – extends accountability beyond individual features to the long-term health of the entire codebase and service ecosystem.
• Ability to independently investigate complex issues, define solutions, proactively drive them to completion, and take responsibility for outcomes.
• Willingness to question existing solutions and advocate for improvements.
• English level: Intermediate (spoken and written communication with colleagues from other offices. Demo, Planning, and other meetings).

 
 
Would be a plus:

• Experience with AWS services and cloud integrations;
• Experience with additional frameworks (Laminas, Mezzio, Slim);
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch);
• Knowledge of Node.js or Python for cross-service tasks;
• Experience with end-to-end (E2E) testing using Playwright.

• Research and evaluate technical options to implement business requirements;
• Implement new functionality, refactor legacy components, and maintain the existing codebase;

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Fintech / Payments / High-Risk | EU Structure

We are looking for a strong, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial function in a fast-growing fintech company operating in payments, acquiring, and high-risk segments across multiple jurisdictions.

This is a key C-level role with direct impact on:

• financial architecture of the business

• liquidity and cash flow management

• financial transparency and control

• collaboration with Risk, Compliance, and Operations

• long-term scalability of the company

You will work directly with the CEO and executive team, helping shape a transparent, resilient, and scalable financial system.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Architecture & Structure

• Build and optimize the financial architecture of a multi-jurisdictional business structure

• Design and control fund flows between legal entities, providers, and partners

• Ensure alignment with regulatory, contractual, and tax requirements

• Support the development of a scalable and sustainable financial model for the business

Liquidity & Cash Flow Management (Fiat + Crypto)

• Manage daily liquidity across multiple payment flows

• Oversee payment calendars, balances, obligations, limits, and settlements

• Monitor and mitigate risks such as:

• liquidity gaps

• settlement delays

• FX exposure

• blocked or reserved funds

• Build financial scenarios and forecasting models (base / stress / growth cases)

Reconciliation & Financial Control

• Oversee and improve end-to-end reconciliation processes

• Ensure data accuracy across:

• transactions

• fees

• FX rates

• conversions

• settlements

• Identify anomalies, financial inefficiencies, margin leakage, and operational blind spots

Accounting, Reporting & Intercompany

• Build and manage intercompany financial models (loans, service agreements, fees, licensing)

• Supervise external accounting and financial reporting processes

• Ensure tax compliance and support transfer pricing logic where relevant

• Maintain financial discipline and reporting accuracy across jurisdictions

FP&A & Management Reporting

• Own and manage:

• P&L

• Cash Flow

• unit economics

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Build clear management reporting and dashboards for leadership

• Provide the CEO with high-quality financial visibility and decision support

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Operations, Legal, and Business teams

• Integrate financial logic into key business and risk decisions

• Support topics related to:

• AML / KYT / Fraud

• reserves and rolling reserves

• chargebacks

• fund blocking and settlement exposure

Process Building & Automation

• Build transparent and scalable financial processes

Our back office platform enables Pricing Managers to configure rates for both B2C and B2B customers and serves as a critical backbone for a range of internal business operations. The current system is built on a legacy codebase and your primary mission will be to reimagine and rebuild it from the ground up.
