Jobs at Djinni

We’re looking for a Payments Lead to own our payment stack end-to-end and make it work better: higher approval rates, fewer failed renewals, cleaner data, fewer surprises.

The infrastructure is already live - a multi-PSP setup with orchestration on top - so this isn’t a build-from-zero role. It’s the opposite: the stack works, but it isn’t yet mature. Reconciliation, payment reporting, monitoring and incident management are only partly in place, and billing analytics is roughly halfway there. Bringing those to a mature, reliable state is the core of this role.

You’ll be the person who knows exactly how money moves through the system - which provider handled a transaction and why, where it failed, what it cost, and what to change. Payments is one of the four infrastructure functions the company scales on, so the work has direct, measurable weight on revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Own the payment infrastructure day to day: multi-PSP setup, orchestration, routing rules, cascading, failover, MID portfolio, processing resilience
• Drive subscription billing performance - approval rate, renewals, retries, dunning, failed payment recovery, involuntary churn
• Build out billing analytics together with the Data team: unified data sources, BI reporting that business unit leads can actually make decisions on
• Develop payment reporting, reconciliation, monitoring, alerting, and incident management into stable, repeatable processes
• Own the payment risk profile in practice: chargebacks, fraud, refunds, disputes, and compliance with card scheme monitoring programs (VAMP, SMMP)
• Own day-to-day relationships with PSPs and acquirers: compliance requests, warnings, payouts, escalations - you collect the facts, you find the answer, you own the outcome
• Advise on provider strategy: which PSP setup fits which product and market, on what terms, where the risks are, and when it’s time to diversify
• Work with Billing Engineering on what gets built next, and write the requirements that make it buildable
• Partner with Product, Growth, Finance and Legal on anything where payments affect revenue, scalability or risk
• Bring automation and AI tooling into payment operations where it removes manual work.

What we look for:

• 3+ years in payments, acquiring, billing, or payment operations - merchant side, B2C subscription-based products
• Hands-on experience managing the full recurring payment lifecycle in subscription-based products - from initial charges and recurring renewals to payment retries, dunning, and failed payment recovery
• Practical experience with multi-PSP infrastructure and orchestration: routing, cascading, failover, MID management - you’ve configured it, not just read about it
• Strong grasp of payment risk: chargebacks, fraud, disputes, decline codes, card scheme monitoring programs
• Comfortable in the data: able to build or specify payment reporting, work with analysts, and tell a real signal from noise
• Demonstrable impact on approval, renewal or recovery rate - able to walk through the before/after
• Understanding of how PSP selection and onboarding actually works: requirements, underwriting, commercial terms - even if someone else handled the paperwork
• Experience with Tier 1 markets, especially the US
• Experience across multiple products, entities or jurisdictions
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

Nice to have: people management experience is a plus.

We offer:

• Full ownership of the payment stack: infrastructure, performance, risk, and provider setup
• Direct, measurable impact on revenue - in a company where subscriptions are the only monetization model
• High autonomy: you decide how things get built, and you set the priorities within Payments
• A technically complex scope - multiple products, markets, legal entities and providers - with real engineering support behind it
• Close collaboration with founders and C-level; short decision chains, no layers to push through
• A clear path to Head of Payments as the function and the business scale.

Reports to: Principal AI Architect
Department: AI & Advisory
Location: Ukraine – Remote
Term: Full-Time

Atlas Technica is a leading managed services and technology firm serving hedge funds, private equity firms, family offices, and other alternative investment businesses. We design, secure, and operate the technology platforms behind highly regulated firms where confidentiality, availability, and trust are non-negotiable.

Atlas is expanding from traditional managed services into managed intelligence. Our AI & Advisory practice helps clients adopt generative AI, build agentic workflows, and move internal prototypes toward secure production use without losing control of proprietary data, identity, permissions, cost, or compliance.

We are seeking a Senior AI Architect to become the senior architecture leader for Atlas's Ukraine-based AI capability. This person will report directly to the Principal AI Architect and work closely with the Global Head of AI & Advisory.

This is a hands-on architecture and client leadership role. You will lead selected client engagements, guide AI Engineers, and turn uncertain business and technical requirements into secure, practical designs. Over time, you will become the architecture lead for Atlas's offshore AI Center of Excellence, helping establish its standards, delivery methods, technical review practices, and talent model.

You will also be closely involved in designing Atlas's AI lab and test environments with the Principal AI Architect and Global Head of AI & Advisory. You will help determine what Atlas should test, how it should be validated, and when a pattern is ready to be used with clients. You will not own the overall AI lab or the entire AI practice.

This is not a role for someone who only produces diagrams or manages technical teams. The right candidate still reviews code, tests assumptions, troubleshoots integrations, and can step into implementation when the problem demands it.

Requirements:

• Ideally 10 or more years of experience across software, cloud, data, security, solution architecture, or related technical disciplines, including significant experience leading complex architecture decisions
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering production AI, machine learning, data, or agentic systems
• Strong Microsoft Azure architecture experience across application hosting, identity, networking, storage, databases, logging, security, and deployment patterns
• Practical experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or comparable AI platforms, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector or hybrid search, and agent orchestration
• Experience designing APIs, data integrations, secure connectors, and Model Context Protocol or comparable tool-integration patterns
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, Microsoft Graph, and least-privilege access design
• Working proficiency in Python, with the ability to review implementation code, scripts, infrastructure definitions, technical logs, and other engineering outputs
• Strong experience designing secure systems with appropriate environment separation, identity and access controls, secrets management, audit logging, observability, and human-review safeguards
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical risk, distinguish prototypes from production-ready solutions, and make sound architecture decisions based on evidence
• Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to lead technical conversations with senior client executives, portfolio managers, quantitative teams, developers, security leaders, and other technical and nontechnical stakeholders
• Experience mentoring engineers, providing technical direction, and delegating implementation work while maintaining architecture quality and delivery accountability

• Strong client-facing, communication, documentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior technical and architecture advisor for selected financial services clients, leading technical discovery, architecture workshops, design reviews, and ongoing working sessions
• Translate client business priorities into practical AI roadmaps, architecture decisions, implementation approaches, and clearly defined technical requirements
• Architect secure AI applications and agentic workflows across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AI Foundry, enterprise data platforms, APIs, and approved AI models
• Define appropriate identity, permissions, data access, networking, secrets management, logging, auditing, human-review, and least-privilege controls for AI solutions
• Evaluate architecture decisions and technical risks across model selection, retrieval, memory, integrations, deployment, security, cost, resilience, maintainability, and production supportability
• Convert validated prototypes and proofs of concept into implementation-ready architecture, scope, assumptions, technical standards, and acceptance criteria
• Provide architecture leadership to AI Engineers by reviewing code, implementation evidence, testing results, deployment plans, and technical documentation while maintaining accountability for overall architecture quality
• Identify and communicate architecture, delivery, security, capacity, vendor, and client-dependency risks early and clearly
• Help establish Atlas Technica’s Ukraine-based AI Center of Excellence, including reference architectures, engineering standards, technical-review practices, reusable patterns, documentation expectations, and mentoring approaches
• Mentor AI Engineers and developing architects while helping create a scalable architecture-and-engineering delivery model across multiple client engagements
• Partner with AI leadership to design and utilize Atlas Technica’s AI lab and validation environments, including test scenarios, evaluation criteria, evidence requirements, and production-readiness gates
• Research, test, and validate new AI platforms, agents, connectors, security controls, and architecture patterns before recommending broader client adoption

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting hedge funds, private equity firms, asset managers, banks, or other regulated financial institutions
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Intune, data-loss prevention, sensitivity labels, and compliance-focused logging
• Familiarity with Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience evaluating third-party or internally developed AI applications for security, architecture quality, and production readiness
• Experience establishing an architecture practice, technical review board, Center of Excellence, offshore engineering capability, or similar technical governance structure
• Relevant Microsoft, Azure, cloud architecture, AI, security, or related professional certifications
• Ability to communicate complex technical decisions clearly, challenge assumptions constructively, and recommend practical alternatives when proposed approaches introduce unnecessary risk
• Demonstrated commitment to strong documentation, explicit ownership, reliable follow-through, and evidence-based technical decision-making

We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or any other applicable legally protected characteristic.

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the insurance division of a large Polish software company. This is a true fullstack role: you will build both the Java/Spring Boot backend services and the Angular frontend of in-house platforms used by insurers in Poland and abroad. The platforms cover the full policy lifecycle and claims handling and process millions of operations every month. You will work in an international team with colleagues from Scandinavia, Belgium and Poland, on modules such as financial settlement, accounting, investment funds and claims. The team works in a Spec Driven Development model with AI agents, using them for specs, planning, documentation and tests. This role suits an engineer who has shipped real production code on both sides of the stack and wants to work on large, business-critical systems.

Details:

• Schedule: Full time
• Location: Hybrid – Kraków, Gdańsk, Łódź or Poznań, Poland (3 days in the office, 2 remote; more office time during onboarding, up to 3 months)
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Long-term
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2)
• Polish: Elementary (A2) or higher
• Type of collaboration: Internal Employment (UoP) or B2B Contract – your choice

About the project:
The company is one of the largest software vendors in Poland. Its insurance division builds its own platforms for insurance companies in Poland and other European markets. These systems support the whole policy lifecycle, from product setup and sales to policy servicing and claims processing. They handle millions of operations a month, so performance, reliability and data accuracy really matter. The division is growing fast and is adding engineering teams in several Polish cities. Teams are international and work closely with business analysts and insurance domain experts. Engineering is moving toward structured, AI-assisted development, where AI agents support specs, planning, documentation and testing.

You have:

• 4+ years of commercial software development experience
• Strong experience with Java (21+) and Spring Boot in production systems
• Experience designing and building REST APIs
• Hands-on commercial experience with Angular (ideally recent versions) and TypeScript: you have written and shipped Angular code yourself, not only worked next to frontend developers
• Experience with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
• Structured use of AI tools in development (specs, planning, tests), not only autocomplete
• Polish at A2 level or higher (everyday conversation), as some teams work in Polish
• English at B2 level (team communication and technical documentation)
• Legal right to work in Poland (e.g. Karta Pobytu, permanent residence or EU citizenship)
• Readiness to work from the office in Kraków, Gdańsk, Łódź or Poznań 3 days a week

Nice to have:

• Experience in the insurance, banking or fintech domain
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture (Kafka), sagas or DDD

What to do:

• Build and maintain backend services in Java 21+ and Spring Boot for insurance platforms
• Develop Angular frontend features end to end, from UI components to integration with backend APIs
• Design and implement REST APIs and work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases
• Work on business modules such as financial settlement, accounting, investment funds and claims
• Use AI agents in a Spec Driven Development process to write specs, plan work, document solutions and create tests
• Collaborate with an international team (Scandinavia, Belgium, Poland), business analysts and domain experts
• Take part in code reviews and help keep code quality high across the stack
• Help improve the performance and reliability of systems that process millions of operations a month

About the project

Our client is a fintech company building a new digital banking and payments product from scratch. The platform will cover card and payment processing, integrations with banks and payment providers, and core financial services for end customers.

The product is at an early stage: architecture, team and roadmap are being shaped now, and the scope will be refined together with the team. You will join a mixed team of client and NerdySoft engineers and work closely with the client's technical leadership. AI-assisted development is part of everyday engineering.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 3–6 engineers while staying hands-on: at least half of your time is production code
• Shape the architecture of a new event-driven backend and own technical decisions in your area
• Own code quality: code reviews, testing standards, secure coding practices
• Build reliable integrations with banking and payment providers — idempotent, traceable and easy to reconcile
• Make sure the solution meets security and regulatory requirements, including PCI DSS
• Create and onboard AI powered SDLC process and help the team adopt them with clear rules for review and testing
• Deliver features end to end, from technical design to production support
• Break down scope, estimate and plan delivery together with Product Manager
• Be the main technical point of contact for client stakeholders

What you bring

• 7+ years of commercial backend development with Java (17+) and Spring Boot
• 2+ years as a Tech Lead or Team Lead of 3+ engineers, while still writing code
• FinTech background is mandatory: commercial experience on banking, payments or lending products
• Production experience with asynchronous, event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS or similar)
• Solid knowledge of concurrency and transactions: ACID, isolation levels, optimistic and pessimistic locking
• Strong relational database skills (PostgreSQL preferred), JPA / Hibernate
• Experience integrating external APIs and providers: retries, timeouts, idempotency, consistent error handling across layers
• Designing secure public APIs for external integrations: authentication, authorization, platform boundaries
• Architecture know-how: DDD, Clean or Hexagonal architecture; you can design a system from scratch and defend the decisions
• Hands-on AWS (or another major cloud), Docker and CI/CD, including API versioning and database migrations
• Strong testing culture: unit, integration and contract tests (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers)
• Daily use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar): you can show how they speed you up and how you check their output
• English B2+ (Upper-Intermediate or higher): you will lead technical discussions with the client

Nice to have

• Card issuing or processing: ISO 8583, authorisation, clearing and settlement, reversals, chargebacks
• Visa or Mastercard integrations and scheme certification
• PCI DSS in practice; HSM, key management, tokenisation for digital wallets
• Ledger systems and double-entry accounting
• Bank transfer and direct debit integrations (SEPA or other domestic payment rails)
• Kotlin, Kubernetes, Terraform; schema evolution with Avro or Protobuf
• Work in a regulated financial environment
• Threat modelling

What we offer

• Comfortable workplace and modern office facilities
• Flexible working hours with no overtime and the ability to work remotely
• 50% compensation for certifications, conferences, training
• 50% compensation for English courses
• 18 working days of paid annual leave
• Paid sick leave
• Medical insurance and sports compensation

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join our growing AI & Advisory team in Ukraine. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building, integrating, testing, and deploying AI-enabled applications and enterprise solutions for sophisticated client environments.

Working under the technical direction of a Principal or Senior AI Architect, the Senior AI Engineer will translate approved architecture and security decisions into working software, integrations, deployment patterns, tests, and technical evidence. This role will build rapid proofs of concept while also helping move successful solutions toward secure, maintainable, and supportable production use.

The successful candidate will combine strong software engineering fundamentals with practical AI, Azure, integration, and security experience. This is not a research-only or prompt-engineering role; we are looking for an engineer who enjoys writing production-quality code, solving complex integration challenges, testing assumptions, and delivering reliable technical solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

• Build rapid proofs of concept and production-ready components for AI-enabled research, data access, document analysis, workflow automation, reconciliation, and internal application use cases
• Develop, review, refactor, test, and maintain application code using Python and other supported development technologies
• Build and integrate REST APIs, MCP components, connectors, webhooks, databases, enterprise applications, and data-integration services
• Connect AI-enabled workflows with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph, enterprise data stores, third-party platforms, and approved AI services
• Implement retrieval and data-processing solutions using embeddings, vector or hybrid search, metadata filtering, indexing, and access-aware patterns
• Deploy and operate applications within Microsoft Azure using approved hosting, identity, storage, database, networking, security, and deployment patterns
• Build repeatable development and release processes using Git, CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, and infrastructure automation
• Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, role-based access, secrets management, logging, monitoring, environment separation, and other security controls
• Test AI solutions for reliability, security, model failure, prompt injection, inappropriate data access, unsafe tool use, dependency failure, and other production-readiness risks
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, client technical sessions, troubleshooting, production-readiness assessments, and technical handoffs
• Maintain clear implementation documentation, diagrams, runbooks, testing evidence, and technical decisions while proactively communicating blockers, scope changes, and delivery risks

• Contribute reusable code, deployment templates, testing approaches, connector patterns, and engineering standards to Atlas Technica’s Ukraine-based AI capability

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including recent hands-on work with AI-enabled applications, cloud applications, data systems, or enterprise integrations
• Strong Python development skills with experience building APIs, services, scripts, applications, or data workflows
• Experience with at least one additional production development stack such as C#/.NET, TypeScript/Node.js, Java, or a comparable technology
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across application hosting, identity, storage, databases, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and deployment
• Practical experience with LLM APIs, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, structured outputs, prompt design, and model limitations
• Experience building or integrating APIs, connectors, MCP components, databases, data platforms, or enterprise workflow systems
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, role-based access control, least privilege, environment separation, and secure secrets management
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, production troubleshooting, and modern software-development practices
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code and clearly explain technical and implementation decisions
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, documentation, and follow-through skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative delivery environment

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with the ability to participate effectively in technical client discussions and produce clear written documentation

Desirable Qualities:

• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Agent Framework, or comparable AI orchestration technologies

• Experience moving prototypes, internally developed applications, vendor solutions, or citizen-developed applications toward controlled production use
• Experience supporting financial services, regulated industries, enterprise clients, or other environments with strong security and compliance requirements
• Relevant Microsoft Azure, AI, software engineering, or cloud certifications

• Experience creating reusable engineering patterns, mentoring junior engineers, or contributing to engineering standards and technical knowledge sharing
