Mid/Senior Fullstack Java/Angular Engineer_TT

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the insurance division of a large Polish software company. This is a true fullstack role: you will build both the Java/Spring Boot backend services and the Angular frontend of in-house platforms used by insurers in Poland and abroad. The platforms cover the full policy lifecycle and claims handling and process millions of operations every month. You will work in an international team with colleagues from Scandinavia, Belgium and Poland, on modules such as financial settlement, accounting, investment funds and claims. The team works in a Spec Driven Development model with AI agents, using them for specs, planning, documentation and tests. This role suits an engineer who has shipped real production code on both sides of the stack and wants to work on large, business-critical systems.

About the project:
The company is one of the largest software vendors in Poland. Its insurance division builds its own platforms for insurance companies in Poland and other European markets. These systems support the whole policy lifecycle, from product setup and sales to policy servicing and claims processing. They handle millions of operations a month, so performance, reliability and data accuracy really matter. The division is growing fast and is adding engineering teams in several Polish cities. Teams are international and work closely with business analysts and insurance domain experts. Engineering is moving toward structured, AI-assisted development, where AI agents support specs, planning, documentation and testing.

You have:

• 4+ years of commercial software development experience
• Strong experience with Java (21+) and Spring Boot in production systems
• Experience designing and building REST APIs
• Hands-on commercial experience with Angular (ideally recent versions) and TypeScript: you have written and shipped Angular code yourself, not only worked next to frontend developers
• Experience with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
• Structured use of AI tools in development (specs, planning, tests), not only autocomplete
• Polish at A2 level or higher (everyday conversation), as some teams work in Polish
• English at B2 level (team communication and technical documentation)
• Legal right to work in Poland (e.g. Karta Pobytu, permanent residence or EU citizenship)
• Readiness to work from the office in Kraków, Gdańsk, Łódź or Poznań 3 days a week

Nice to have:

• Experience in the insurance, banking or fintech domain
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture (Kafka), sagas or DDD

What to do:

• Build and maintain backend services in Java 21+ and Spring Boot for insurance platforms
• Develop Angular frontend features end to end, from UI components to integration with backend APIs
• Design and implement REST APIs and work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases
• Work on business modules such as financial settlement, accounting, investment funds and claims
• Use AI agents in a Spec Driven Development process to write specs, plan work, document solutions and create tests
• Collaborate with an international team (Scandinavia, Belgium, Poland), business analysts and domain experts
