What will be your responsibilities:
 

• Design, build, and optimize high-load, highly available server-side platforms (Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL, Redis, message queues).
•  • Architect and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms and containerized workloads (Docker, Helm, GitOps).
•  • Design and operate secure network infrastructure:
•  – firewalls (iptables, UFW, security groups, NACLs)
•  – reverse proxies and L7/L4 load balancers
•  • Implement DDoS protection and WAF strategies (Cloudflare, rate-limiting, bot protection).
•  • Build and maintain observability stack:
•  – metrics (VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus)
•  – APM (New Relic, OpenTelemetry)
•  – centralized logging and alerting
•  • Design, implement and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
•  • Automate infrastructure and platform lifecycle using IaC and configuration management.
•  • Participate in architecture design, reliability engineering and capacity planning.
•  • Ensure security, compliance and audit readiness (PCI DSS, secrets management, access control).

 
What we expect from you:
 

• Strong hands-on Linux expertise (Debian, Ubuntu, systemd, networking, performance tuning).
• • Deep experience with AWS:
•  – compute (EC2, ASG, EKS)
•  – networking (VPC, LB, peering)
•  – managed databases (RDS Aurora)
•  – messaging (SQS, Kafka).
•  • Strong database operations knowledge: MySQL HA, replication, backup.
•  • Production experience with Kubernetes (cluster architecture, HA, upgrades, disaster recovery).
•  • Advanced CI/CD experience: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps practices.
•  • Strong Cloudflare expertise: DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection.
•  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (mandatory), Ansible (configuration and automation).
•  • Scripting and automation in Bash and Python.
•  • Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals (TLS, IAM, VPN, firewalling, zero-trust).
•  • Experience working in regulated environments or with security standards (PCI DSS is a plus).

Senior DevOps Engineer — Infrastructure Migration Project

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to assess, plan, and execute the migration of our application infrastructure.

Our company develops and operates its own proprietary software platform, and the selected engineer will work closely with our internal development team.

The infrastructure consists of four isolated environments:

* Development
* Testing
* Staging
* Production

Each environment includes:

* Two frontend services
* One backend system consisting of more than 10 Docker containers
* PostgreSQL database
* Redis
* Potentially RabbitMQ
* Self-hosted Jenkins server and runners
* Private Docker Registry

The backend includes API services, data fetchers, Laravel Horizon workers, and queue-processing services.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Docker, Linux, CI/CD, Jenkins, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, networking, infrastructure security, backup and recovery, and production migrations with minimal downtime.

This is initially a project-based engagement focused on infrastructure migration. After the migration is completed, we may continue working with the engineer on a part-time basis for ongoing infrastructure support, maintenance, and optimization.

🏆 YOUR QUEST-LINE:
 

• Configure and optimize AWS services (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, Lambda, etc.) for high-demand applications;
• Optimize and scale cloud infrastructure to enhance performance and reliability;
• Manage high-load databases (MariaDB, OpenSearch), optimize SQL queries, and configure database settings for responsiveness and stability;
• Configure and manage Nginx, Node, FrankenPHP, load balancing, and horizontal scaling mechanisms;
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, and logging tools;
• Respond swiftly to incidents and conduct root cause analysis to minimize downtime;
• Configure and streamline CI/CD processes to automate deployment and testing;
• Manage releases and builds, ensuring alignment across Dev and QA environments;
• Configure and manage Cloudflare Workers, Snippets, WAF, and CORS, automating configurations via Terraform for security and optimized traffic flow;
• Deploy and support containerized applications, ensuring stability in large-scale Docker and Kubernetes-based projects;
• Manage configurations, scaling, cluster setup, and maintenance;
• Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure we’re all moving towards the same goals;
• Ensure data and infrastructure security through monitoring and protection tools.
  
   

👩‍🚀 YOUR IN-GAME SKIN:
 

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role;
• AWS: Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, Lambda, and more;
• Databases: Experience managing high-load databases (e.g., MariaDB), optimizing SQL queries, and configuring server settings for peak performance;
• Load Balancing & Scaling: In-depth knowledge of Nginx, various load balancers, with experience in horizontal scaling of projects (PHP-based will be a plus);
• Monitoring & Diagnostics: Skilled in monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), Sentry, alerting, and logging tools;
• CI/CD: Proven experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD processes;
• Cloudflare: Hands-on experience with Workers, Snippets, WAF, CORS, and configuration management via Terraform;
• Kubernetes: Strong understanding of Kubernetes and experience deploying large-scale projects using Docker;
• Methodologies & Processes: Familiarity with Agile and Kanban methodologies, with a proactive, flexible, and accountable mindset;
• At least Upper-Intermediate level of English.
