• Previous Experience:

This role will also involve setting up automated data pipelines, scraping structured and semi-structured data, and optionally working on generating intelligent reports or documents from data.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and refine price prediction models using data from auction sites, dealership listings, and historical records.
• Design and maintain data scraping pipelines will be a plus (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy) to gather auction and sale data from multiple public sources.
• Clean, normalize, and store data efficiently for training and inference.
• Apply feature engineering techniques on specs like make, model, mileage, year, VIN, etc.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to deploy models in production.
• (Optional but valued): Use NLP or generative AI to create documents or listing descriptions automatically.

Requirements

• Proven experience in machine learning with a focus on regression/predictive models.
• Strong Python skills; familiar with tools like Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience in web scraping is a plus (BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, etc.).
• Familiarity with model evaluation metrics for regression (e.g., RMSE, MAE).
• Comfortable working with structured data (CSV, JSON, APIs) and preprocessing pipelines.
• Fluent in Git and version control workflows.
• Experience deploying or working with models in production (FastAPI, Flask, AWS/GCP preferred).

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automated document generation, AI agents, or LLM APIs (OpenAI, Langchain).

  What You'll Be Responsible For:

   

  Technology Strategy & Architecture

• Design and implement the long-term technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Lead the migration from legacy systems to a modern tech stack (microservices, Next.js, Vue, React).
• Ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability of the platform.

• Define backend and frontend architecture standards.
   

  Engineering Management

• Oversee full-cycle development: web, mobile apps (iOS, Android), JS widgets.
• Establish clear delivery pipelines, QA processes, and release cycles.
• Build DevOps culture and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure).

• Implement robust monitoring, testing and security frameworks.
   

  eCommerce Integrations

• Integrate CDP, web & mobile analytics, A/B testing systems, email/push messaging.
• Lead SEO & performance optimization efforts.
• Collaborate with marketing to support product-led growth.

• Plan for future ML/AI features (search, personalization, automation).
   

  Team & Process

• Build and lead a cross-functional tech team of 20+ engineers, QA, architects.
• Implement Agile/Scrum workflows from the ground up or restructure current ones.
• Foster a strong engineering culture focused on accountability and innovation.

• Develop hiring and evaluation processes.
   

  Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with the Product Owner to align discovery, delivery and release cycles.
• Collaborate with analytics to make data-driven architecture and product decisions.

• Act as a bridge between design, product, tech, marketing and support.

   

  Who We're Looking For
   

  Must-have:

• 5+ years in CTO / Head of Engineering / Tech Lead roles in B2C, eCommerce or TravelTech.
• Proven success in full-scale system migrations from legacy to modern stack.
• Experience building and managing engineering teams of 20+ people.
• Hands-on experience setting up Agile/Scrum and scaling engineering processes.
• Strong product mindset: you understand UX, conversion, and product metrics.

• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher (confident communication and presentations).
   

  Nice-to-have:

• Experience implementing ML/AI solutions in eCommerce.
• Familiarity with search infrastructure (Elasticsearch, etc.).

• Deep understanding of SEO, conversion rate optimization and performance tuning.
