Critical Note
 This role is for an Architect, not a Data Engineer. Candidates who have only implemented pipelines without owning end-to-end architecture decisions will not be considered — this is explicitly called out multiple times by the client.
 

Project Overview
 Client needs a Data Architect to take ownership of an existing, complex, partially problematic Azure data platform — assess it quickly, separate tactical fixes from long-term architecture, and produce implementation-ready recommendations that engineering teams can act on immediately.
 

What You'll Do
Design, build, and optimize scalable data architectures on Databricks + Azure
Own end-to-end architecture decisions — not just implement pipelines
Assess an existing, incompletely documented platform and deliver concrete, actionable output within the first 1–2 weeks
Design scalable, reusable, metadata/configuration-driven ingestion frameworks (multiple databases, APIs, file-based sources)
Work hands-on with Azure Cosmos DB — data modeling, partition-key strategy, indexing, RU/throughput optimization, scaling, consistency, Change Feed
Work across Synapse workload patterns: Pipelines, Spark, Serverless SQL, Dedicated SQL Pools
Handle genuinely unstructured data — documents, PDFs, scans, free text, images, emails (real examples required, not theoretical)
Make technology-neutral architecture calls — comfortable concluding Databricks/Synapse/ADF may NOT be the right fit if scale/cost/requirements don't justify it
Separate and progress tactical stabilization vs. long-term target architecture in parallel
Produce clear architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical recommendations for engineering teams
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders; mentor junior team members
 

Must-Have Requirements
Architecture ownership — proven, concrete examples of personally designing/owning a data platform architecture (not just pipeline implementation)
Azure — hands-on, recent (not years-old), 4+ years minimum. Azure DevOps usage alone does NOT count as Azure cloud experience
Databricks — must have real hands-on experience
Azure Cosmos DB — must have hands-on experience (scaling, partitioning, RU optimization, advanced design decisions) — this is one of the most heavily emphasized requirements in the entire brief
Azure Synapse — depth across multiple workload patterns, not surface-level exposure
Unstructured data — proven, real examples (not just structured/relational data experience)
Metadata/configuration-driven ingestion — must be able to explain a reusable ingestion framework design in depth
Existing platform modernization — concrete example of inheriting a problematic platform and improving it
Python, SQL, ETL/ELT
Strong data modeling (fact tables, dimensional/star schemas)
Batch + incremental processing/refresh
Strong communication with both technical and business stakeholders
CV must contain clear, detailed hands-on Azure experience — vague CVs will result in automatic rejection

Nice to Have
Future-oriented thinking on AI / natural-language querying of enterprise data
Experience with legislation/regulated data platforms (client referenced a similar past project: legislation data platform on Azure Synapse — XML/API pipelines, medallion architecture)

 Client wants 2–3 strong real project examples structured as: Problem → options considered → personal decision → why → implementation → result. Expect deep technical probing on Cosmos DB and Synapse specifically, plus a scenario where Databricks is deliberately removed from the discussion to test technology-neutral thinking.

The Role

We're looking for a strategic, data-driven Head of VIP to own the design, performance, and continuous optimization of our VIP retention program across T1 and T2 casino markets. You'll set the strategy, bring innovation, novel ideas, own the numbers, and lead through a dedicated VIP Team Leader who runs day-to-day execution. You'll spend your time on segmentation, cohort analysis, program design, and cross-functional influence, stepping into the player-facing world only for your top 10–20 Tier-1 accounts and genuine crisis escalations.

What You'll Own

• Strategic Analytics: Design and maintain our multi-tier segmentation (Mass Market / Pre-VIP / VIP) and cohort framework (Active, Churn, Reactivated, New), and deliver 7-day, 14-day, and monthly performance intelligence across every project and market.
• Program Strategy and Tactics: Own the annual VIP Retention Marketing Calendar — campaign design, offer mechanics, seasonal activations, and a structured testing roadmap.
• Retention & Reactivation: Build predictive churn early-warning capability, design win-back mechanics, and personally step in on high-stakes closure situations escalated by your Team Leader.
• Business Performance: Own retention rate, churn reactivation, NGR/deposit growth, LTV, bonus efficiency ratio, and surplus margin — and report on them monthly to leadership.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Product, Marketing, CRM, Compliance, and Finance to keep VIP strategy aligned with the wider business, and represent the segment at board level.
• Team Leadership: Set the department's KPI framework and give strategic direction to your VIP Team Leader — who owns scheduling, coaching, QA, and the day-to-day player relationship.

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record building or scaling a VIP program in iGaming/gambling, ideally across regulated T1/T2 markets.
• Fluency with the metrics that actually run a VIP book: NGR (not just GGR), cohort-based LTV, LTV:CAC, bonus efficiency, and surplus margin.
• Experience leading through a manager layer rather than running a desk personally — comfortable setting direction and holding a Team Leader accountable to KPIs, not doing the coaching yourself.
• Strong cross-functional influence — you've shaped Product, Marketing, and Compliance decisions with data, not just requested changes.
• Working knowledge of the regulatory constraints that shape VIP marketing in T1/T2 markets (e.g. UK affordability checks, MGA/EU advertising rules, responsible gambling obligations).

Head of Marketing / Publishing Lead

Cactus Punch is an independent game studio developing a Dark Fantasy Action RPG with elements of Body Horror for PC in Unreal Engine 5.

We are looking for a Head of Marketing / Publishing Lead who will take ownership of the project's marketing, publishing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy — from the current early development stage through Steam Early Access and beyond.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on role. We are looking for someone who can build the marketing function from the ground up rather than simply manage existing processes.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the overall Marketing & Publishing strategy.
• Define the game's positioning, USP, target audience, and key messaging.
• Build the GTM strategy and marketing roadmap leading to Early Access.
• Develop a strategy for Steam visibility and wishlist growth.
• Plan and oversee trailers, gameplay videos, demos, and other marketing content.
