CTO / Head of Engineering - AI and Autonomous Systems
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious CTO / Technical Lead to join A-GOS and help us build a technology company focused on AI-powered autonomous systems.
We are developing a platform that uses AI, intelligent agents, and advanced data technologies to automate complex business processes and decision-making in the maritime and supply chain industries.
Our goal is to go beyond traditional software and simple LLM integrations. We want to build systems capable of understanding complex business contexts, analyzing information, making decisions, and performing tasks autonomously.
We already have an active development team. Now we are looking for someone who can take technical leadership, shape the architecture, and help us move to the next level.
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong backend and system architecture background.
- Experience as a CTO, Tech Lead, Head of Engineering, or Senior/Staff Engineer with significant technical ownership.
- Strong experience with Python and building complex, scalable backend systems.
- Practical experience developing AI-powered products, not just experimenting with LLM APIs.
- Good understanding of LLMs, AI agents, RAG, vector databases, and modern AI architectures.
- Experience with Knowledge Graphs, Graph Databases, Ontologies, or other structured knowledge representation technologies.
- Strong system design skills and the ability to make long-term architectural decisions.
- Experience leading developers, reviewing technical decisions, and maintaining engineering quality.
- Ability to balance technical innovation with practical business needs.
- English B1+ for communication within our international team.
What You Will Work On
- Define and develop the technical architecture of our autonomous AI platform.
- Design systems where AI agents can reason, interact with business data, use tools, and execute complex workflows.
- Explore and implement Knowledge Graphs, Ontologies, and structured knowledge models to improve AI reasoning and decision-making.
- Build reliable architectures combining LLMs, traditional backend services, business rules, and optimization algorithms.
- Lead our engineering team, establish development standards, and guide technical decisions.
- Evaluate new AI technologies and determine which ones bring real value to our product.
- Work directly with the founders on product strategy, technical roadmap, and long-term technology vision.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-agent systems and autonomous AI workflows.
- Experience with Neo4j, RDF, OWL, SPARQL, or similar graph and semantic technologies.
- Experience with optimization algorithms, constraint solving, or decision-support systems.
- Previous experience building technology products in early-stage startups.
