As the product continues to scale, the company is looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead its technology vision while remaining actively involved in product development.
 

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership and business acumen. The ideal candidate will drive the company's technology strategy while remaining actively involved in software development, lead and mentor the engineering team, and represent the technical vision of the product to clients and stakeholders.

This role requires the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value, collaborate closely with product and commercial teams, and ensure the successful delivery of a scalable, AI-driven platform.
 

Requirements:

• Software development experience.
• 6+ years of strong Python development experience.
• Proven expertise with Django and Celery.
• 1+ years of solid Angular 19 frontend development experience.
• AI/ML knowledge and practical implementation experience.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable system design.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience using modern AI-powered development tools to increase productivity.

• Бути основною технічною точкою прийняття рішень для бізнесу та команди.
• Побудова ефективної взаємодії між технічною та нетехнічною командами.
• Управління командою та розвиток менеджерських процесів.
• Формування бачення та архітектурних рішень для існуючих і нових продуктів.
• Відповідальність за технічний стан продуктів, їхню стабільність, масштабованість та якість.
• Аналіз існуючих технічних проблем і впровадження системних рішень для їх усунення.
• Масштабування команди та участь у наймі ключових технічних спеціалістів.
   

      Ми очікуємо

• Досвід роботи на позиції CTO, Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager або іншій технічній leadership-ролі.
• Досвід роботи із SEO-продуктами або компаніями, які активно працюють із SEO є обов'язковою вимогою.
• Вміння працювати на стику бізнесу й розробки та знаходити оптимальні технічні рішення.
• Досвід розвитку продуктових компаній на етапі масштабування.

Dataforest is looking for a CTO for an outsourcing company, who can own the technical direction across multiple client projects.

This role is about architecture, technical decision-making, and leadership — working closely with delivery, presales, and clients to design scalable, reliable solutions.

You’ll influence technology choices, shape engineering standards, support presale activities, and help teams deliver high-quality backend and data-driven systems, with optional involvement in AI / GenAI initiatives.

Technical stack (in company):
Backend: Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Fast API, Celery
Frontend: React, React Native, Next.js
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL; understanding of NoSQL
Data Engineering: SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, DWH concepts

Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, CI/CD, Azure/GCP -optional

Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a Head of engineering/ VP of Engineering/ CTO;
8+ years of experience with Python (Backend or Data);
Strong understanding of software development processes in outsourcing companies ;
Strong understanding of how to run and manage a large number of projects;
Experience with AI-DLC process;
Ability to understand and translate business goals into technical solutions;
Experience with pre-sales activities;
Experience working in an outsourcing company;
Experience managing a team with 100 + employees- optional;
English level: Advanced or higher

Responsibilities:
Own and drive the technical vision and architecture
Lead and scale the engineering team (up to 50 FTE)
Drive technical innovation, tool selection, and best practices
Take full ownership of the technical direction and execution of the entire project, ensuring alignment with business goals and successful delivery
Participate in high-level client and partner meetings as a technology representative
