Jobs CAD Designer

About Vernius

Vernius Systems is a U.S. defense technology company developing compact radar systems for autonomous drone interception.

Our Ukrainian engineering team works directly with interceptor manufacturers to integrate Vernius radar technology into existing UAV platforms and test these systems in real flight conditions.

We are looking for a hands-on FPV engineer who is equally comfortable building drones, designing mechanical parts in CAD, rapidly prototyping them, and taking the resulting aircraft into the field.

What you’ll do

• Design radar mounts and other integration components for different interceptor airframes.
• Rapidly prototype designs using CAD and 3D printing.
• Install Vernius radar systems onto interceptor UAVs.
• Build, modify, repair, and prepare interceptor prototypes for testing.
• Integrate flight controllers, electronics, wiring, power systems, and communication hardware.
• Work through mechanical integration issues including packaging, weight, balance, and center of gravity.
• Iterate quickly: design → print → assemble → fly → diagnose → redesign.
• Prepare aircraft for flight tests.
• Support the GNC engineer during guidance and integration testing.
• Diagnose hardware and mechanical issues discovered during testing.
• Work directly with Ukrainian interceptor manufacturers and their engineering teams.

• Help establish a fast prototyping and testing capability in the Kyiv office.

What we’re looking for

• Extensive hands-on experience building and modifying FPV/UAV systems.
• Strong practical understanding of FPV hardware:
  • flight controllers
  • ESCs
  • motors
  • receivers
  • power systems
  • telemetry and communication equipment
• CAD experience and ability to design functional mechanical parts independently.
• Practical 3D-printing experience.
• Strong soldering, wiring, assembly, and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of UAV weight distribution, center of gravity, vibration, and mechanical constraints.
• Experience preparing and troubleshooting aircraft in real flight-test conditions.
• Ability to prototype quickly rather than optimize indefinitely on a computer.

English

• Sufficient to read technical documentation and communicate on basic technical topics.
• Conversational English (B1+) is a strong advantage but not a strict requirement.

Strong advantages

• Direct experience with interceptor drones.
• Ability to pilot interceptor or high-performance FPV aircraft.
• Experience conducting flight tests.
• Experience integrating payloads or sensors onto UAV platforms.
• Experience with ArduPilot, Betaflight, or PX4.
• Experience working with Ukrainian defense-tech companies or military units.
• Mechanical/aerospace engineering background.

Who this role is for

We value hands-on experience more than credentials.

Someone who has spent years building, modifying, flying, crashing, repairing, and improving real UAVs may be a stronger candidate than a traditional mechanical engineer with limited field experience.

We want someone who can receive a new interceptor airframe, understand it quickly, design an integration solution, manufacture the prototype, install it, and help get the aircraft into the air.

We're looking for a Senior Growth Designer to join our flagship B2C AI product and take ownership of one of the most business-critical parts of the user journey — the path from landing page through quiz to paywall, checkout and upsell.

You'll work hands-on with web funnels for paid traffic: landing pages, quizzes, paywalls, checkout, upsells and everything in between. The product operates at scale, so design here isn't just about making screens look better — it's about testing ideas, understanding user behavior and finding solutions that move conversion and revenue.

You'll partner closely with Growth, User Acquisition, Product, Analytics and Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Design and iterate on web funnels - landing pages, quiz screens, and paywalls - built around specific hypotheses and A/B tests.
• Build reusable visual components for our internal funnel builder (quiz screens, paywall blocks, etc.) so the team can assemble new funnels quickly, consistently, and systematically.
• Contribute to product screens, user flows, and UX beyond pure growth work.
• Partner closely with Growth, Acquisition, and Product - pick up hypotheses, turn them around quickly and accurately, and keep status visible to the team.
• Own and maintain the design system and Figma hygiene - clean file structure, component consistency, and tracking of hypotheses and versions.
• Join syncs on key metrics, understand funnel performance, and let data - not just taste - drive design decisions.

What we look for:

• 4+ years of experience as a Growth Designer, Product Designer, or Web Designer, with a strong track record in web funnels and performance design.
• Strong understanding of web funnels and their business logic.
• Professional-level Figma - components, auto-layout, design systems, clean file organization.
• Solid analytical skills and comfort working with key metrics; understanding of conversion and funnel performance, with the ability to connect design decisions to results (deep analytics background not required - data-driven thinking is).
• Ability to quickly dive into complex problems and develop effective solutions.
• High level of autonomy and accountability.
• Creativity and ability to generate unconventional, bold hypotheses and fresh design directions, not just "safe" ones.
• Design expertise that goes beyond execution - developing alternative concepts and pushing back with arguments when a decision breaks the user flow.
• Strong results orientation and a focus on solutions rather than problems.
• English proficiency - B1 or higher.

Nice to have:

• motion/micro-animation skills, performance ad-creative experience, background in subscription or AI products.

What matters to this role:

• Proactivity and initiative - come with proposals rather than waiting for a spec; if you see a problem, bring a solution; follow through on what you commit to.
• Attention to detail - precision (text, elements, states) is part of what we mean by seniority.
• Communication and responsiveness - stay reachable, keep the team updated on status, and join urgent syncs when needed.
• Structured process - follow agreed workflows, track hypotheses and tasks, document decisions.
• Involvement in metrics and product - engage with growth and product numbers, participate in discussions on what worked, not just the visuals.

We offer:

• Real ownership and measurable impact - your work will directly influence funnel conversion, monetization, and the first-payment experience, with clear visibility into how design decisions perform.
• A strong voice in Growth decisions - you won't be treated as an execution-only designer. You'll have room to challenge ideas, propose alternatives, and shape how hypotheses turn into user experiences.
• A chance to build systems, not just individual screens - contribute to our internal funnel builder and create reusable design patterns that make experimentation faster and more scalable.
• A fast, data-driven environment - work closely with Growth, Acquisition, Product, Analytics, and Development, run frequent experiments, and see the impact of your work quickly.
• Competitive compensation based on your experience, expertise, and impact.
• Access to available AI tools.
• Reimbursement of professional courses and trainings.
• Flexible working hours.
• Professional equipment and access to the necessary programs.
• Paid vacations, sick days, and other benefits.
• Medical insurance.
• A variety of corporate events and team-building activities.
