Head of Business Development
Position Head of Business Development -- founding commercial role, AI systems studio. Working directly with CTO / Founder.
We already have the tech half of this, and looking for the commercial half.
We build the system behind a product for funded teams -- the data, the AI models, the servers -- one working version a week.
Six clients in the last twelve months. Profitable from the first weeks. Every client came from an introduction. We have never gone out to find one, and you will be the person to build that side.
The job: build how this business finds clients, and own it. Your own list first; after that, whatever you design. No quota, no reporting line, nobody above you in it. You get buyers to the scoping call; CTO takes the call, the close, everything after that. The buyers so far: funded teams holding something unfinished -- money already spent on a prototype with nothing running, or the one technical person left and the roadmap went with them -- and larger companies starting an AI initiative the budget already covers, who would rather buy weeks than hire a team.
The pay: a share of what the business makes -- a percentage of profits for as long as we do this -- the first โฌ5,000 each of your first three clients pays. Nothing before a client pays, and no salary; this sits beside an income, not instead of one. If you've been carrying a company's revenue for a salary and a thin commission, this is the other shape.
It suits someone who has sold to founders who sign for themselves and can name the people in one market who already take their calls.
