PSP Account Specialist

$1200-2000
Product

ROIcamp is a media buying team that works exclusively with the dating vertical. The parent company has been building and monetizing dating products since 2011; the team is 40+ people and fully remote. We buy traffic on Meta, Google, TikTok, push and native placements, and we measure ourselves on paying users rather than on leads.

About the role

Our funnel runs click, registration, subscription, and rebill, the recurring charge a subscriber pays after the first payment. Payment is the final step, and it decides whether a campaign made money or merely broke even.

ROIcamp has been running dating traffic since 2011 as a media buying team, buying paid traffic at scale and monetizing it, and the clearest lesson of those years is that you can produce the right creative, walk a user all the way to checkout, and still lose the sale because the PSP declined the transaction.

A PSP, or payment service provider, is the company that processes user payments on behalf of the product. Every percentage point of payment conversion turns into profit or loss inside each campaign of every buyer.

You are the person who makes sure that final step holds: a resilient provider portfolio, low decline rates, reasonable fees, and stable rebills. Onboarding a new PSP is your process end to end, from the first message in a thread to the production launch. You report into the finance direction and work daily alongside the traffic team and the technical team.

What you'll do

  • Handle daily PSP operations including limits, holds, incidents, and reconciliations, resolving them in hours rather than weeks.
  • Onboard new providers end to end, covering first contact, terms, KYC and compliance, and the technical launch together with tech.
  • Negotiate fees, rolling reserve, and contract terms with current and prospective partners.
  • Match payment methods to GEOs (the countries and regions we sell into), using cards and wallets for Tier-1 and local methods for Tier-2 markets such as LatAm and CEE.
  • Watch payment and rebill conversion, investigate drops in BI, and propose cascade and routing changes.
  • Scout the market for backup providers, better terms, and new GEOs that match the team's expansion plan.
  • Keep the numbers clean across reconciliations, discrepancies, and chargeback statistics.
  • Plan and report on the payments direction.

Requirements

  • 2+ years working with PSPs and payment systems on the merchant side.
  • Negotiation skills and systematic partner management, with CRM discipline rather than a scattered chat history.
  • Business English at B2, written and spoken, since most providers communicate in English.
  • Sharp attention to detail, because reconciliations and discrepancies are yours to own.

Nice to have

  • Experience with high-risk verticals, subscription products, or dating.
  • Understanding of cascading, anti-fraud, and card network rules.
  • Hands-on work with local payment methods in LatAm or CEE.

What we offer

  • Direct impact on profit, visible in every campaign's numbers rather than in an annual report.
  • A real mandate to negotiate, so you defend provider terms yourself instead of escalating every point upward.
  • Payment and affiliate conferences at the company's expense, which is where new PSPs are usually found.
  • Fully remote work and minimal bureaucracy between you and a decision.
  • Payouts on a fixed date, which we treat as a baseline expectation for a payments role.

Growth path

Specialist, then owner of the payments direction, then Head of Payments as the GEO portfolio expands. The team has operated since 2011 and adds new GEOs every year, so the direction is growing and the role grows with it.

Compensation

$1,200โ€“2,000 base. Payouts on a fixed date.

Hiring process

A 30-minute screening call, then an interview with the finance lead, then a case review covering PSP onboarding for a new GEO, then an offer. The whole process takes up to 10 business days.
