Junior Localization Manager

$400-600
Product

ROIcamp is a media buying team that works exclusively with the dating vertical. The parent company has been building and monetizing dating products since 2011; the team is 40+ people and fully remote. We buy traffic on Meta, Google, TikTok, push and native placements, and we measure ourselves on paying users rather than on leads.

About the role

Our principle is simple: copy on a creative or a landing page should read as written for that GEO, not as translated into it. A creative is a single advertising unit, an image or video with its copy; a GEO is the country or region a campaign targets.

ROIcamp has monetized dating products in Tier-1 and Tier-2 markets since 2011, and the gap between a literal translation and a living adaptation shows up as a conversion gap all the way down the funnel to rebill, the repeat automatic payment from a user who subscribed earlier.

An American, a German, and a Pole flirt in different words, and your job is to catch that difference inside short advertising phrases. Languages you do not speak are covered by native freelancers, and step by step you become the person who manages them: briefs, review, deadlines. No commercial experience is required. You report to the Creative Producer.

What you'll do

  • Localize creative copy for Tier-1 and Tier-2 GEOs, working from English as the base: short phrases, headlines, and on-image text.
  • Adapt landing pages, meaning not only the words but the tone, the slang, and the cultural triggers of a specific market.
  • Brief native freelancers with context, examples, and clear expectations, then accept their work against a checklist.
  • Proofread everything bound for production, since a single mistake on a landing page dents the trust of an entire GEO.
  • Maintain a glossary and a bank of phrasings that have already proven their conversion for each GEO.
  • Compare copy variants with buyers by the numbers and explain which message lifted CVR, the share of visitors who convert, and why.

Requirements

  • Written English at B2 or above, your everyday working language.
  • A feel for short-form copy. Examples are enough to show it, and study work counts.
  • Pedantic attention to detail, because in this niche a typo costs money.
  • Self-organization in remote work, with many small parallel tasks that each carry a deadline.

Nice to have

  • A second European language: German, French, Spanish, or Polish.
  • Any translation or copywriting experience, in whatever format.
  • Curiosity about marketing, and about why one headline gets clicked and another does not.

What we offer

  • A skill measured in conversion rather than in style alone.
  • Management practice already at the junior level, through coordinating native freelancers.
  • Numbers on every copy variant you produce, with CTR and CVR per GEO visible in the tracker, the system that records clicks and conversions.
  • Fully remote work in a tight loop with designers, buyers, and the analytics team.
  • Real influence on the team's results, since a winning adaptation gets scaled across the whole market.

Growth path

There are two directions. The first goes deeper into localization: your own GEO expertise, a pool of native freelancers under your management, and the localization hub for the traffic team. The second leads into performance copywriting: from adaptations to your own messages and creative hypotheses. In both cases the argument for promotion is the conversion of your texts.

Compensation

$400โ€“600 base at entry, reviewed against the measurable results of your localizations. Payouts on a fixed date, monthly.

Hiring process

A 30-minute screening call, then a compact test of up to 90 minutes in which you adapt three messages for different GEOs, then an offer. A decision within 5 business days.
