SEO Specialist (E-commerce)

About Us

We're a small team launching our own e-commerce project targeting the European market, while also running several client web projects. Our catalog will scale from hundreds to tens of thousands of product pages โ€” we need someone to take full ownership of the SEO channel, with no unnecessary approval chains.

What You'll Do

  • Design the SEO architecture for the catalog: URL structure, category tree, internal linking, breadcrumbs
  • Manage indexation at scale: crawl budget efficiency, preventing index bloat from filters and sorting
  • Resolve duplicate content issues at scale (thousands of products differing by a single parameter)
  • Set up automated generation of titles, meta descriptions, and category texts from product data (programmatic templates, not manual copywriting)
  • Implement structured data (Product, Offer, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage) aligned with the product feed
  • Optimize Core Web Vitals โ€” set requirements for developers and review implementation
  • Set up multilingual SEO: URL structure for target markets, hreflang, localized keyword research
  • Collect keywords (long-tail, SKU searches), prioritize categories by volume and difficulty
  • Monitor performance in Google Search Console, deliver regular reporting
  • Write technical specifications for developers and QA their implementation
  • Provide SEO support for client projects when needed (audits, recommendations)

Must-Have

  • 1.5+ years of SEO experience
  • Technical SEO as a core competence: indexation, canonicals, pagination, faceted navigation, log analysis
  • Hands-on experience implementing structured data
  • Proven track record resolving duplicate content issues on large-scale catalogs
  • Proficiency with Screaming Frog (or similar), Google Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush
  • Ability to write clear technical specifications for developers
  • Analytical, data-driven mindset

Nice to Have

  • Experience with WooCommerce/WordPress
  • Experience with product feeds and Google Merchant Center
  • International/multilingual SEO experience, hands-on hreflang implementation
  • Familiarity with European markets (Italy, Spain, France, Germany)
  • Basic SQL, Python, or scripting for catalog data
  • Server log analysis experience
  • Experience in large-catalog niches (auto parts, industrial supplies)

What We Offer

  • Fully remote, flexible schedule
  • Budget for SEO tools (Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Semrush) and courses
  • Small team, fast decisions, no bureaucracy
  • Full ownership of the SEO channel and direct impact on business results
