This has resulted in a growing network of websites and digital products that must combine strong visual presentation with high performance, maintainability, SEO, scalability and rapid content updating.
About the Role
DKG is looking for an experienced Web Developer to redesign the underlying website-development system, not simply build individual pages.
Our current workflow combines Wix with custom HTML pages and components, including AI-assisted generation of frontend code. While this enables rapid prototyping, it also creates limitations in performance, SEO, maintainability, content editing and scalability across a large website portfolio.
The first objective of this role is therefore to determine and implement the best long-term architecture for DKG's public web infrastructure.
We are open to different technical solutions. The successful candidate should be capable of assessing the current stack objectively and recommending whether DKG should optimize the existing approach, migrate progressively to another CMS/framework, or adopt a hybrid architecture.
Initial Deliverable
The first assignment should produce:
- A concise audit of the existing Wix + custom HTML workflow.
- Identification of the main performance, SEO, maintenance and scalability problems.
- A recommended target architecture with clear rationale.
- A practical migration sequence rather than an unnecessary full rebuild.
- A working pilot demonstrating the proposed approach on an agreed DKG page or website.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit DKG's existing websites, custom HTML components and deployment workflow.
- Define a scalable architecture for a multi-site environment.
- Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, responsive performance and frontend efficiency.
- Improve technical SEO, metadata, indexing and semantic page structure.
- Develop reusable components and templates for recurring DKG website patterns.
- Create a workflow in which non-technical team members can safely update ordinary text, images, links and content.
- Integrate AI-assisted development into a controlled production workflow rather than relying on unreviewed generated code.
- Establish clear staging, QA, deployment and rollback processes.
- Support progressive migration away from technical workarounds where appropriate.
- Ensure compatibility with analytics, forms, CRM integrations, APIs and other DKG infrastructure.
- Document the architecture and provide simple guidance for internal website administrators.
- Work collaboratively with DKG's IT, design and website-administration teams.
Requirements
- Strong HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript / TypeScript skills.
- Demonstrable experience building fast, production-quality responsive websites.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js or equivalent.
- Strong experience with at least one professional CMS or structured content-management architecture.
- Experience with website migration and legacy-platform modernization.
- Understanding of technical SEO and web-performance optimization.
- Experience with hosting, deployment, CDN and version-control workflows.
- Ability to evaluate architecture trade-offs rather than simply advocate for one preferred technology.
- Experience reviewing and improving AI-generated code.
- Strong ability to explain technical recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
