We are looking for an experienced Unreal Engine Engineer to lead a small team of two Unreal developers and take full ownership of a production-stage Unreal Engine–based application used in e-commerce by real customers. This is a client-facing, high-impact product in which stability, visual quality, and performance directly affect the user experience.

The role combines hands-on Unreal development with technical leadership. You will also work as part of a cross-functional product team, collaborating closely with front-end and back-end engineers to ensure seamless integration between Unreal Engine and the rest of the application stack.

YOE: 5 years

Core Requirements:

• C++ Unreal development experience
• Experience compiling Unreal Engine from source
• Strong understanding of Unreal Engine architecture, Blueprints, and optimization for production use
• Proven ability to own and maintain a live Unreal Engine-based product
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring other developers
• Ability to make architectural and technical decisions that ensure stability, scalability, and performance
• Comfort working in a cross-functional team with front-end, back-end, and business stakeholders
• Oversee the coverage of existing and new functionalities with autotests
• Perforce version control
• Ukrainian/russian language is needed to communicate with the team
   

Nice to Have:

• Online game development and support 
• 3D modeling or visualization (3ds Max, Maya, Blender, etc.)
• Rendering engines (V-Ray, Corona, etc.)
• WebGL 
• Python or other scripting languages

• English language knowledge, sufficient for technical collaboration

   

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the Unreal Engine development team (2 developers)
• Ensure stability, performance, and scalability of the production UE application
• Lead the effort to implement a public API for UE application
• Act as the Unreal Engine representative in a cross-functional product team
• Collaborate closely with front-end and back-end developers to align architecture and integrations
• Develop and improve tools for 3D asset assembly and scene management
• Work with content creators and artists to achieve optimal asset integration and visual fidelity
• Identify and automate repetitive or inefficient workflows
• Maintain and evolve the automated rendering and image production pipeline
• Continuously analyze and optimize memory usage, load times, and rendering performance
• Prototype and implement a new product hypothesis in collaboration with other product team members
• Provide technical feedback, documentation, and process improvements
• Automated application and asset update to the latest stable UE version on a yearly basis.

• Work remotely with consistent availability during core hours or from the office in Warsaw.
• Communicate proactively with the team and management about progress, blockers, and priorities
• Coordinate Unreal development efforts with front-end and back-end teams
• Manage personal and team workload effectively, ensuring delivery reliability
• Identify and drive improvements across technology, process, and pipeline
• Maintain transparency on issues and deadlines

Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in the development process as a programmer.
• Identify and highlight technical risks and ways to mitigate
• Manage requirements and responsibilities. Help establish clear coding best practices and lead regular code reviews.
• Work with the production, programmers, design, and art leads to create task and schedule estimates for the programming team and track development efforts across the team;

Experience Required :

• 5+ years of experience in the Game industry
• Expert in Unreal and C++
• Experience in at least 2 aspects of game technology development (animation, AI, gameplay, UI, network).
• Experience working on mobile and PC titles. 
• Experience in porting between platforms.
• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing

Nice to have:

• Experience with graphics lib
• Knowledge of other programming and scripting languages

Requirements:

• Experience in Unreal Engine 5 (2+ years).
• Excellent knowledge of C++, design patterns, and software engineering.
• Ability to filter diverse feedback from artists, designers, and programmers and propose effective solutions.
• Very good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong 3D math skills and good knowledge of algorithms.
• A good understanding of performance.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and portable code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain gameplay systems using C++ in Unreal Engine
• Design and implement custom gameplay mechanics, including:
  • Physics-based systems
  • Vehicle and drone simulation
• Adapt single-player or standalone systems to be multiplayer-safe
• Implement and debug multiplayer networking features (replication, RPCs, authority logic)
• Optimize gameplay code for performance and network stability
• Collaborate with designers and other developers to integrate gameplay features

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of C++
• Solid experience with Unreal Engine (UE4 or UE5)
• Good understanding of Unreal multiplayer architecture, including:
• Replication system
• RPC types (Server / Client / Multicast)
• Actor ownership and authority
• Experience working with Blueprints + C++ integration
• Ability to read and work with existing codebase
• Previous experience on multiplayer projects

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of network optimization techniques
• Understanding of physics, ballistics, or combat mechanics

Ми шукаємо Senior Unreal Engine Developer (C++), який допоможе нам будувати стабільні та продуктивні великі real-time середовища в симуляторі. Ви станете частиною команди інженерів, що безпосередньо впливає на посилення обороноздатності України.
 

Основні обов’язки:

• розробка та підтримка rendering і performance functionality в Unreal Engine (C++);
• профілювання та оптимізація scene performance (GPU/CPU, frame time, memory usage);
• робота з великими environment сценами та terrain / landscape системами;
• визначення технічних вимог до materials, meshes, textures, lighting, shadows, foliage, LOD/HLOD, streaming;
• формування performance правил для Tech Artist і 3D команди;
• покращення environment pipeline та підходів до роботи з контентом.
   

Для нас важливо:

• сильний комерційний досвід роботи з C++ та Unreal Engine;
• досвід оптимізації rendering performance у складних real-time сценах;
• розуміння факторів, що впливають на rendering cost в Unreal Engine;
• досвід profiling та пошуку performance bottlenecks;
• досвід роботи з великими сценами, streaming та environment systems;
• досвід роботи з production-scale codebase;

Якого фахівця ми шукаємо?

3+ роки досвіду управління командою розробників (керівник команди розробників)

• Досвід запуску та підтримки ігрових проектів (бажано ПК та/або консолі).

• Досвід розробки на C# та .NET.

• Глибокі знання та практичний досвід роботи з Unity3D як основною платформою розробки.

• Досвід роботи з Unreal Engine (знання архітектури, пайплайнів) буде великою перевагою або обов'язковою вимогою, залежно від проекту.

• Розуміння принципів чесної гри та безпеки в онлайн-іграх.

• Досвід проектування та розробки високонавантажених, масштабованих систем і серверної логіки для ігор.
