English-Language YouTube Scriptwriter
We are looking for a YouTube scriptwriter to research and write engaging English-language scripts for a channel about Thailand.
The channel covers life in Thailand, travel, culture, local experiences, practical information, real estate and other Thailand-related topics.
You do not need any prior knowledge or experience related to Thailand. We will provide the necessary information.
Responsibilities
1. Preparation, Research and Structure
- Research topics related to Thailand.
- Develop the video concept, narrative angle and structure.
- Structure each video to maintain viewer attention.
2. Scriptwriting
- Write 4-5 long-form YouTube scripts in English per month for videos approximately 10–20 minutes long.
- Write for a presenter speaking directly to the camera.
- Suggest B-roll, graphics, maps, sound cues and on-screen text.
- Add clear visual and editing notes for the video editor.
3. Post-Production Review
- Review the edited video during post-production.
- Check that the edit follows the approved script and intended narrative structure.
- Confirm that the proposed B-roll, graphics, maps, on-screen text and other visual elements have been implemented correctly.
- Identify missing, inaccurate or distracting visual elements.
- Provide clear and consolidated feedback to the video editor.
- Identify hooks and segments that can be repurposed into Shorts, Reels and TikTok videos.
The exact script length will depend on the topic, but most videos will be approximately 12–20 minutes long.
Requirements - B2-C2 or native-level written English.
- Demonstrable experience writing long-form YouTube scripts.
- Understanding of YouTube storytelling, hooks, pacing and audience retention.
- Ability to write natural spoken English rather than formal articles.
- Attention to detail and respect for deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience with travel, lifestyle, documentary, educational or creator-led content is an advantage.
- Familiarity with YouTube analytics, titles and thumbnails is an advantage.
AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude may be used for research and drafting. However, the final script must be original, fact-checked, natural and carefully edited. We are not looking for unedited AI-generated text.
Work format
- Remote.
- Full-time, part-time or project-based.
- Regular ongoing cooperation if the trial period is successful.

As part of the application process, shortlisted candidates will receive a short test assignment: writing one section of a YouTube script based on a provided topic and brief.
