SEO Specialist
About Us
We are launching our own e-commerce project targeting the European market while simultaneously managing client web projects. We are looking for an SEO Specialist to take full ownership of our search engine optimization strategy.
What You Will Do
Core Responsibilities: Technical SEO for Large E-commerce Catalogs
- Drive organic traffic for an online store with a catalog scaling from hundreds to tens of thousands of product pages.
- Design the SEO architecture for the catalog: URL structure, category tree, internal linking, and breadcrumbs.
- Manage indexation at scale: control indexation status, manage crawl budget efficiency, and prevent index bloat caused by filters and sorting.
- Resolve duplicate content issues across catalogs where thousands of items differ by a single parameter.
- Design automated content templates for generating titles, meta descriptions, and category texts from product data (setting programmatic rules rather than manual copywriting).
- Implement and manage structured data: Product, Offer, BreadcrumbList, and FAQPage. Ensure page data aligns with the product feed.
- Optimize Core Web Vitals and site speed: set clear requirements for developers and review implementation results.
Manage multilingual SEO: set up URL structures for target markets, implement hreflang tags, and localize keyword research for each country.
Search Intent, Semantics & Analytics
- Collect long-tail keywords: combinations like "product + model", SKU/article searches, and market-specific query nuances.
- Prioritize categories based on search volume, demand, and keyword difficulty.
- Monitor performance using Google Search Console (indexation coverage, cannibalization analysis, crawl stats).
- Deliver regular reporting: track growth trends, identify bottlenecks, and build actionable optimization plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Write technical specifications for developers and QA their implementation.
- Work closely with the Paid Ads team to optimize product feeds and align data.
Provide SEO support for agency client projects when needed (audits, recommendations, technical guidance).
Requirements
Must-Have:
- 1.5+ years of experience in SEO.
- Technical SEO as a core competence: indexation, canonicals, pagination, faceted navigation, and log analysis.
- Hands-on experience with structured data implementation and testing.
- Proven track record of resolving duplicate content issues on large-scale catalogs.
- Proficiency with industry tools: Screaming Frog (or similar crawlers), Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush.
- Ability to write clear, actionable technical specifications for developers.
- Analytical and hypothesis-driven mindset: relying on data rather than assumptions.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with WooCommerce or WordPress.
- Hands-on experience with product feeds and Google Merchant Center.
- Experience with international/multilingual SEO and practical hreflang implementation.
- Familiarity with European markets (Italy, Spain, France, Germany, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or data processing scripts for catalog management.
- Server log analysis experience.
Experience in niches with extensive catalogs (e.g., auto parts, industrial supplies, spare parts).
What We Offer
- Fully remote position with a flexible schedule.
- Dedicated budget for SEO tools (Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Semrush) and professional courses.
