Solution Architec

About the project

We're looking for a Solution Architect with a strong background in Java and React to define and own the technical architecture of a new project in the Marketplace domain for a client based in KSA (Saudi Arabia). The project is expected to kick off in September and will run for 12 months, with a possible extension.

The team will consist of 14 specialists: 6 Full-Stack Developers, 2 Tech Leads, a designer, and QA engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall system architecture within a Modular Monolith approach
• Make key technical decisions on service boundaries, data flow, and integration patterns
• Design the architecture for scalability, performance, and maintainability at Marketplace scale
• Set technical standards and guidelines across the project (Java Spring Boot, React/Next.js, data layer, messaging, caching)
• Review and validate architectural decisions made by Tech Leads and development teams
• Own infrastructure and deployment architecture decisions (Kubernetes)
• Collaborate directly with the client (KSA) on technical vision, requirements, and trade-offs
• Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies
   

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale systems with Java Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of React / Next.js ecosystem and frontend architecture
• Proven experience in a Solution Architect role on complex, multi-team projects
• Deep understanding of Modular Monolith Architecture and when to apply it
• Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL) and data modeling at scale
• Experience designing systems using message brokers (ActiveMQ) and caching (Redis)
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture
• Excellent communication skills and experience presenting architecture to clients and stakeholders
• Upper-Intermediate+ English level for client communication

• Experience architecting Marketplace domain platforms
• Experience working with clients from the Middle East region
• Experience mentoring Tech Leads and development teams on architectural best practices
