Senior Blockchain Engineer

PropFi is building the next generation of financial infrastructure for real-world assets and property. We are looking for a Senior Blockchain Engineer to help design and build the core blockchain infrastructure behind our platform.

This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership. You’ll work closely with the founders and product/engineering team to turn ideas into production-ready blockchain products.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and maintain smart contracts and blockchain infrastructure
• Develop secure, scalable on-chain systems for real-world asset and property-related use cases
• Design and implement tokenization, ownership, payments, and transaction flows
• Integrate blockchain networks, wallets, RPC providers, oracles, and external protocols
• Build backend services that interact with smart contracts and blockchain networks
• Write comprehensive automated tests and participate in smart contract security reviews
• Investigate and resolve complex blockchain, transaction, and infrastructure issues
• Make architectural decisions around scalability, security, gas efficiency, and reliability
• Work closely with product and engineering to rapidly prototype and ship new functionality

• Take ownership of projects from technical design through production and ongoing improvements

   

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with significant experience in blockchain development
• Strong experience building and deploying production smart contracts
• Deep understanding of Ethereum/EVM, Solidity, and blockchain architecture
• Strong backend engineering skills with experience in TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Rust, or similar
• Experience with smart contract testing and development frameworks such as Foundry, Hardhat, or similar
• Strong understanding of wallets, transactions, gas, RPCs, events, signatures, and blockchain data
• Experience designing secure systems and identifying smart contract vulnerabilities
• Solid understanding of databases, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure
• Ability to independently break down ambiguous problems and make sound technical decisions
• Strong attention to detail and a high bar for production code

Nice to have

• Experience with RWA/tokenization, DeFi, real estate, fintech, or financial infrastructure
• Experience with ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155 or other token standards
• Experience with account abstraction, multisig, or smart contract wallets
• Experience integrating Chainlink or other oracle infrastructure
• Experience with blockchain indexing and analytics
• Experience with L2s such as Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, or Polygon
• Experience with smart contract audits or formal security practices
• Experience building products from 0 → 1
