Product Engineer - Full Stack

You will take ownership of a meaningful part of the product and work across the full cycle: business problem → product solution → UX & technical decisions → implementation → validation → production improvement. You will work directly with founders, product stakeholders, and engineers and actively participate in shaping the platform — identifying missing cases, challenging requirements when needed, proposing better product or technical approaches, and taking responsibility for the result. Modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and other coding agents are a normal part of our development process. We expect you to use them aggressively to increase delivery speed — while maintaining full technical ownership of what gets shipped.

N5Deal is an international fintech and M&A platform helping banks, fintech companies, investors, and entrepreneurs:

• discover and evaluate acquisition opportunities;
• buy and sell regulated businesses and financial licenses;
• enter new markets and jurisdictions;
• launch new financial products;
• connect with relevant buyers, sellers, and partners.

We operate in a specialized and relationship-driven industry. Our founders bring hands-on fintech and M&A experience and a strong international network across banking, financial services, professional services, and related markets. The platform already generates real deal flow and is in partnership or active dialogue with major industry players. We are now entering the next stage of product development: evolving the platform, integrating it into a shared modern infrastructure, and gradually migrating selected functionality from the existing PHP/Laravel solution toward Next.js / TypeScript. We are looking for a Product Engineer who wants to own part of that journey.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Take technical ownership of a part of the N5Deal platform.
• Actively participate in product decisions rather than only implement specifications.
• Turn business needs into practical product and technical solutions.
• Build full-stack platform functionality.
• Redesign and gradually migrate selected PHP/Laravel functionality into the shared Next.js-based infrastructure.
• Build APIs, integrations, data models, and application workflows.
• Contribute to product UX and user flows.
• Make architecture and implementation decisions and understand their trade-offs.
• Use AI development tools throughout implementation, research, testing, debugging, and refactoring.
• Validate and improve AI-generated solutions rather than blindly accepting them.
• Improve reliability, maintainability, performance, security, and test coverage.
• Proactively identify technical and product improvements.

You may also work with AI-powered product capabilities such as intelligent search, matching, data enrichment, validation, and workflow automation.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of commercial software development experience.
• We are open to considering candidates with 3+ years if their experience is highly relevant to the role and our technology/product environment.
• Strong software engineering and full-stack fundamentals.
• Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript and modern web development.
• Knowledge of React / Next.js, or solid knowledge of basic modern web technologies (including Node.js) combined with the ability and willingness to adapt to React / Next.js using AI-assisted development tools.
• Ability to design backend logic, APIs, data models, and application workflows.
• Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Ability to understand and work with an existing PHP/Laravel codebase during integration and migration.
• Understanding of testing, maintainability, performance, and application security.
• Ability to work with incomplete requirements and turn business problems into working solutions.
• Product mindset and willingness to challenge or improve requirements when appropriate.
• Confident daily use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Ability to understand, validate, debug, and own AI-generated code.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively in a remote team.
