About Us
California Home Company is a residential design, development, and construction company based in California.
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Permit Coordinator to support our residential development projects in California.
This is not a drafting or engineering position. Instead, you will coordinate permit applications, communicate with architects and consultants, track project progress, and ensure every application moves through the approval process smoothly.
No U.S. permit experience is required. We will provide comprehensive training and teach you our internal processes from the ground up.
What You'll Do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and submitting permit applications
- Uploading project documents to city permit portals
- Tracking permit statuses and approval timelines
- Following up with city agencies via email
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants
- Managing permit revisions and resubmissions
- Organizing project documentation in Google Drive
- Updating project progress in Asana
- Coordinating utility applications (electricity, gas, communications, etc.)
- Assisting with project close-out documentation
- Maintaining organized records and project files
Most communication is conducted via email, with occasional meetings with your manager.

Preferred Qualifications

- Google Workspace
- Asana or similar project management software
English Requirements
- Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
- Comfortable writing professional emails
- Able to communicate during online meetings
