Talent Coordinator
We are looking for a Talent Coordinator with 1+ years of experience to serve as the right hand to AfterQuery’s Head of Talent and help manage the operational engine behind all recruiting activity.
This is a high-energy, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, learns fast, and is excited to touch every part of the recruiting process — from candidate management and interview coordination to offer logistics and recruiting documentation.
You will work directly alongside the Head of Talent, helping keep hiring moving at startup speed. This role is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to grow into a full-cycle recruiter over time.
About the role
As a Talent Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations of the recruiting function and make sure candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and external partners stay aligned throughout the hiring process.
You will be responsible for keeping the recruiting process organized, accurate, and fast-moving, while also improving candidate experience and helping the team scale.
What you will do
- Manage candidates through Ashby, including tracking progress, sending follow-up emails, collecting candidate feedback, and keeping candidate records accurate.
- Coordinate interview loops, calendar management, and scheduling across recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates.
- Manage relationships with external recruiting partners, including outsourcers and agencies.
- Support offer process coordination, recruiting reports, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with Executive Assistants on coordinating work trials and other logistics as the team scales.
- Help build reliable recruiting workflows and keep the hiring process moving quickly in a startup environment.
What we are looking for
Must-have:
- 1+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, talent coordination, recruiting operations, HR operations, executive assistance, operations, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple candidates, schedules, stakeholders, and priorities at the same time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high ownership.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to learn quickly.
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco, CA.
Nice to have:
- Experience in a startup or high-growth company.
- Experience supporting technical recruiting or hiring for engineering, AI, data, or product roles.
- Experience with Ashby, Google Calendar, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar recruiting tools.
- Experience coordinating interview loops, offer processes, work trials, or external recruiting partners.
- Interest in growing into a full-cycle recruiter role over time.
