Junior Recruiter (AI Startup)
Location: Remote, PST Time Zone (6 AM – 2 PM PST)
Minimum Qualifications (Experience & Background)
- 1+ year of experience in recruitment / talent sourcing (in-house or agency).
- Experience hiring for tech, product, design, or operations roles is a plus.
- Understanding of full-cycle recruiting processes and candidate pipelines.
- Strong written English (B2+ / C1 preferred) for communication with global candidates.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms (e.g., Lever, Greenhouse, Workable, or similar).
- Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with changing priorities.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills; ability to manage multiple roles at once.
- Daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) for sourcing, outreach, and screening support.
Core Responsibility Areas
1) Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Building
Source candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, communities, and direct outreach.
Build and maintain strong, diverse talent pipelines for current and future roles.
Use boolean search, AI-assisted sourcing, and creative research methods.
2) Candidate Screening & Coordination
Conduct initial screenings to assess motivation, communication, and role fit.
Schedule interviews and manage hiring workflows across time zones.
Ensure smooth candidate experience from first contact to offer stage.
3) Collaboration with Hiring Managers
Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and success profiles.
Translate job needs into clear sourcing strategies and candidate criteria.
Provide regular updates on pipeline health, challenges, and timelines.
4) Recruitment Operations & Process Support
Maintain ATS hygiene: accurate tracking, notes, and status updates.
Assist in drafting job descriptions, outreach templates, and interview plans.
Support structured interview processes and feedback collection.
5) Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
Represent the company professionally in all candidate communications.
Ensure timely responses and transparent process updates.
Help strengthen employer brand through thoughtful outreach and engagement.
6) Data & Hiring Metrics
Track recruiting KPIs (time-to-hire, response rates, pipeline conversion).
Identify sourcing channel effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Use data to optimize hiring workflows and outreach strategies.
7) Process Improvement & Documentation
Help document recruiting playbooks, templates, and workflows.
Continuously improve sourcing techniques using AI and automation tools.
Support scalable hiring processes aligned with company growth.
