Graphic Designer
About the Role
We're looking for a Junior+ Graphic Designer for the Seranova brand.
This is a hands-on execution role, not a brand strategy role: the broader creative direction and strategy are owned by the Brand / Creative team. You are the person who turns briefs, content ideas, and approved copy into polished social media visuals, brand assets, and production-ready designs.
A strong fit for this role is someone who is comfortable working quickly, following feedback, keeping files organized, and creating clean, high-quality designs in Figma and Adobe tools. Figma is especially important, as our in-house design workflow is built around it.
The role would initially start on a day-rate retainer / trial basis, with the potential to move into a monthly full-time contract after a successful trial.
What You'll Do
- Create day-to-day social media design assets for Seranova across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant channels.
- Design static posts, stories, carousels, Reels covers, simple campaign visuals, and other social-first assets.
- Work mainly in Figma to create editable files, reusable templates, and organized design layouts.
- Use Adobe tools where needed for image editing, composition, retouching, and asset preparation.
- Adapt approved creative directions into different sizes and formats for social platforms.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager, Brand Strategist, Creative Director, editors, and other stakeholders to deliver assets on time.
- Review final designs for layout, alignment, typos, image quality, readability, and brand consistency before handoff.
About You
- You have a social media design portfolio and can show examples of pages, posts, campaigns, or content assets you've designed.
- You are proficient in Figma and comfortable using it as your main day-to-day design tool.
- You are also confident working with Adobe tools, especially Photoshop and / or Illustrator.
- You understand how social content works visually across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and mobile-first placements.
- You have good taste, strong attention to detail, and can spot when a layout feels unbalanced or visually weak.
- You can follow an existing brand direction and still bring fresh, thoughtful execution ideas.
- You are organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving remote team.
- You can take feedback without friction and turn revisions around quickly.
- You are comfortable with production-style design work: creating many assets, adapting formats, and keeping quality consistent.
- You have or are working toward availability for a full-time setup after a successful trial period.
Must Have
- Strong proficiency in Figma.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and / or Illustrator.
- A portfolio with social media design examples.
- Experience designing for brands, creators, agencies, or social media pages.
- Ability to work on a day-rate retainer initially, with potential availability for full-time after the trial.
- Clear communication, strong attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Experience with beauty, skincare, haircare, wellness, or DTC e-commerce brands.
- Light motion skills or the ability to create simple animated assets.
- Experience designing Reels / TikTok covers, story sequences, carousels, and paid social creatives.
- Basic understanding of content performance and how design can impact engagement, clarity, and conversion.
- Ability to edit simple visuals in CapCut or similar tools.
- Familiarity with designing for an older audience; a core part of Seranova's customer base skews 55+, so clarity, trust, readability, and tone matter.
