Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our DefTech team, support continued company growth and increasing infrastructure complexity. 

Responsibilities:  

- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize wired and wireless network infrastructure across corporate and remote locations. 

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network routing, switching, and security services. 

- Administer and support core network services, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SSH, FTP, and related IP-based services. 

- Configure and maintain TCP/IP, VPN (IPsec and SSL), NAT, VLANs, STP and network segmentation technologies. 

- Deploy, manage, and support network equipment, including Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and MikroTik solutions. 

- Configure, maintain, and optimize firewalls, IDS/IPS, and application control technologies. 

- Manage network resources and connectivity within AWS and Azure cloud environments. 

- Monitor network performance, availability, and security using tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, and other monitoring platforms. 

- Perform network traffic analysis, capacity planning, and proactive performance tuning. 

- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents, outages, and security-related events. 

- Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures. 

- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Cloud teams to support business initiatives and technology projects. 

- Participate in infrastructure improvement, modernization, and security enhancement projects. 

- Provide on-call support and participate in incident response activities when required. 

Requirements:  

- 3+ years of experience in Network Administration, Network Engineering, or a related role. 

- Strong understanding of network architecture, routing, switching, and network security principles. 

- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment, including Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and MikroTik. 

- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related protocols. 

- Experience configuring and managing VPN (IPsec and SSL), NAT, VLANs, and network segmentation. 

- Strong knowledge of network services, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SSH, FTP, and related technologies. 

- Experience managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and application control solutions. 

- Experience with cloud networking in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure. 

- Familiarity with network monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, Grafana or similar platforms. 

- Experience troubleshooting complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues. 

- Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server and MacOs environments. 

- Understanding of configuration management and infrastructure automation concepts. 

- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures. 

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

Nice to have:  

- Knowledge of Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) and modern network security frameworks. 

- Experience with Endpoint Security solutions (EDR/EPP platforms). 

- Familiarity with SIEM solutions and security monitoring tools. 

- Understanding of compliance and security standards such as ISO 27001
