International Accountant / Group Accountant

We are currently looking for an experienced International Accountant / Group Accountant to strengthen our Finance Team and take ownership of accounting operations across our international group structure. Our entities operate in the United Kingdom, Estonia, Hong Kong, Cyprus, and the UAE (Dubai Mainland), making this role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic international environment and managing multi-jurisdictional accounting processes.

Your Mission

The key objective of this role is to support the transition of accounting operations from outsourced providers to an efficient in-house finance function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality financial reporting across all group companies.
 

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple international entities.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and accounting documentation.
• Process multi-currency transactions and perform bank reconciliations.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Conduct intercompany reconciliations and ensure consistency across group entities.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Prepare Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow reports.
• Support management reporting and financial analysis.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

• Prepare and submit statutory financial and tax reports where direct filing is permitted.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
• Monitor reporting deadlines and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.

Audit Support

• Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate communication with external auditors and service providers.
• Support annual audit processes and year-end closing activities.

Process Development

• Participate in building and improving internal accounting processes.
• Support the transition from outsourced accounting to an in-house finance model.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
   

Requirements

Professional Experience

• 3–5+ years of experience as:
  • International Accountant;
  • Group Accountant;
  • Senior Accountant;
  • Auditor within a Big 4 firm or international accounting/advisory company.
• Experience working with multiple legal entities and international structures.
   

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or a related field.
• ACCA, CPA, or progress toward obtaining a professional qualification will be a significant advantage.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong practical knowledge of IFRS.
• Understanding of financial consolidation principles.
• Experience with international accounting and compliance requirements.
• Ability to independently manage reporting and audit preparation processes.

Systems & Tools

• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems and ERP platforms.
• Experience with Odoo is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic government reporting and tax portals.

Language Skills

• English level B2–C1 (Upper-Intermediate to Advanced).
• Ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders, auditors, and service providers.
