We are looking for a strong PSP Lead to join a new iGaming project at the pre-launch stage.

About the role 

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on PSP Lead to join BetVam, a licensed Ukrainian iGaming operator currently in the pre-launch and product launch phase. This is a unique opportunity to build and own the entire payments ecosystem from the ground up. You will be responsible for developing payment strategies, onboarding and managing PSPs, banks, and payment providers, optimizing deposit and withdrawal performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and creating a seamless customer payment experience. As a key member of the launch team, you will work closely with Product, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Executive Management to establish scalable payment infrastructure that supports long-term business growth.

What you’ll do (day to day) 

  • Build and manage the entire payment ecosystem for the company from the ground up.
  • Research, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard payment service providers (PSPs), banks, acquiring partners, and alternative payment methods.
  • Develop and optimize deposit and withdrawal flows to maximize conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Design payment routing and cascading strategies to improve transaction approval rates and reduce processing costs.
  • Monitor payment performance, including acceptance rates, transaction success rates, withdrawal processing times, chargebacks, and fraud indicators.
  • Analyze payment data and identify opportunities to improve conversion, customer retention, and revenue.
  • Manage relationships with PSPs, banks, fintech partners, and payment aggregators.
  • Participate in commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and SLA management with payment providers.
  • Work closely with Product and Development teams during payment integrations and launches.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, AML, Risk, and Finance teams to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor payment market trends, competitor solutions, and emerging technologies within the iGaming industry.
  • Create payment reporting frameworks, dashboards, and performance monitoring processes.
  • Develop contingency plans and backup payment solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Support market expansion initiatives by identifying and implementing suitable payment solutions for future growth.

What you’ll need 

  • 3+ years of experience in Payments, PSP Management, Payment Operations, or Fintech within the iGaming, Betting, Casino, Fintech, or E-commerce industries.
  • Proven experience working with payment service providers, banks, acquirers, and alternative payment methods.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing, acquiring, card schemes, transaction routing, and payment optimization.
  • Experience managing deposits, withdrawals, chargebacks, fraud prevention, and payment risk.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret payment performance metrics and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Experience negotiating commercial terms and contracts with PSPs and financial partners.
  • Understanding of AML, KYC, regulatory compliance, and payment-related risk controls.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and build processes from scratch in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • English -  business level 

     Nice to have

  • Previous experience launching payment infrastructure for a new iGaming operator.
  • Experience working within regulated gambling markets.
  • Existing network of PSP, banking, and fintech contacts in Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
  • Knowledge of payment orchestration platforms and payment gateway solutions.
  • Experience with anti-fraud tools, payment analytics platforms, and BI reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting multi-market payment operations.
  • Understanding of sportsbook and casino payment flows.
