As the HR at UnderDefense, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture and driving our growth. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. You will partner with the CEO to scale the company by building a team of inspired, motivated and skilled professionals.
What you can do for us:
- Act as a trusted advisor for leadership team and managers on people-related decisions.
- Identify organizational, team and retention risks before they become business problems.
- Drive employee retention initiatives focused on top performers and critical talent.
- Lead difficult conversations, conflict resolution and performance management cases.
- Partner with managers to address low performance and support organizational changes.
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership and high performance.
- Challenge managers and employees when needed to protect business interests and long-term company success.
- Analyze employee feedback, engagement and turnover trends, turning insights into actionable recommendations.
- Support organizational scaling, restructuring and change management initiatives.
- Develop practical HR processes that help the business move faster, not create bureaucracy.
- Own and continuously improve employee lifecycle processes from onboarding to offboarding.
- Conduct onboarding and exit interviews, identify patterns and provide recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience handling employee relations, conflict resolution and performance management cases.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong business mindset and ability to balance employee needs with company objectives.
- Experience working directly with founders, executives or senior leadership teams.
- Experience with a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align HR strategies with business objectives.
- High resilience and emotional maturity
