Machine Learning (ML) Engineer (Project AD3D)

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Machine Learning (ML) Engineer (Project AD3D).

About the Project

An innovative Fashion-Tech startup developing AD3D - an R&D project focused on creating an automated system for generating 3D clothing models from 2D images.

The goal is to automate the creation of precise 3D garment geometry and textures from photos, using sewing patterns as an intermediary stage and reducing a process that currently takes hours to just minutes.

Responsibilities:

- Create and optimize Deep Learning models for 2D-to-3D transformation

- Develop algorithms focused on mesh structure and vertex topology

- Work with convolutional layers, autoencoders, transformers, and GANs

- Curate and augment datasets using real-world and synthetic data

- Develop Python-based modules for integration with Clo3D and Marvelous Designer

- Conduct scientific experiments and define quality criteria

- Document findings and contribute to achieving Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL9)

Requirements:

- 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning / AI

- Strong experience with 3D reconstruction (mesh structures, UV mapping, vertex topology) — mandatory

- Experience with Deep Learning for 2D → 3D transformation tasks

- Strong Computer Vision experience (OpenCV or similar)

- Proficiency in Python

- Experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow

- Experience working with convolutional networks, autoencoders, transformers, or GANs

- Ability to solve complex research and engineering problems related to 3D geometry and visual data

Nice to Have:

- Experience with Clo3D or Marvelous Designer

- Experience working with synthetic data generation

- Experience in Fashion-Tech, 3D graphics, or garment modeling domains

- University degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
