Product Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Engineer to own product outcomes. You will operate at the intersection of Engineering, Product, Design, and the Customer, optimizing for user outcomes, business impact, and shipping velocity, while still respecting technical quality and engineering best practices. You combine PM-level empathy, designer-level UX intuition, and fullstack engineering execution.

What You Will Do (Ownership)

• Talk directly to internal users and merchants and analyse metrics to shape product direction.
• Translate strategic product initiatives from the Head of Product into clear PRDs, actionable tasks, and a prioritised backlog for the engineering team.
• Own the end-to-end solution design, including user flows, data models, APIs, and wireframes.
• Write, deploy, and monitor production-ready full-stack code using AI-assisted tooling to maintain high velocity.
• Instrument user events and analyse post-launch metrics to measure user impact.
• Align architectural decisions with engineering recommendations and development best practices.
• Design and prototype user interfaces using AI-assisted tooling.
   

What We Are Looking For

Technical Skillset

• Practical experience with at least one of the following: Python, PHP, TypeScript, React, or Node.js. 
• Experience with product analytics platforms like PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.
• Experience leveraging AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or v0 as a core part of your daily development workflow.

Non-Technical Skills

• Ability to conduct user interviews and extract actionable product insights.
• Comfort making product decisions under conditions of ambiguity.
• Strong written communication skills for PRDs and post-launch notes.
• Ability to ruthlessly scope down features to ensure fast, iterative shipping.
