Ruby Engineer Offline
From integrating with a real-time seller scoring/segmentation/targeting system to evolving our supplier partnership platform to optimizing our top-of-the-funnel Cleanout experience, there are a huge number of challenging and fun projects on the horizon that our engineers are working on.
Your role will be Customer Support (CS) software engineer, interacting with software engineers who own our code, product management team on one side and CS team on the other side.
Responsibilities:
Handle Customer Support (CS) tickets queue, interacting with both code base owners (engineers) and CS team
Build tooling around CS workflow
Collaborate with your peers and other teams to teach, learn and execute efficiently
Contribute to improving our processes and engineering culture
Requirements:
Proficiency with Ruby and Ruby based frameworks (Rails, Grape, Sinatra)
Proficiency with at least one front-end JS framework (We use React/Redux)
Ability to work in a cross-functional team
Analytical mindset, good troubleshooting skills
Good to have, but not mandatory:
Knowledge/experience in distributed systems design and best practices
Knowledge/experience with continuous integration, test automation, and monitoring
Bonus: Native mobile development experience
