VP of Engineering

We are looking for a senior engineering executive to lead a large-scale engineering transformation within a mature SaaS product company operating in a data-driven environment. USA TIME.
 

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader who combines strong technical credibility with strategic leadership and has recent experience building and scaling AI-powered products.
 

The company is currently undergoing a significant engineering and product transformation, including organizational rebuilding, process optimization, and acceleration of AI-native product delivery. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence engineering strategy at the highest level and has a clear growth path toward a permanent CTO / SVP Engineering role.
 

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering organization through a critical transformation phase.
• Rebuild and stabilize engineering teams following organizational changes.
• Introduce scalable engineering processes, accountability frameworks, and delivery standards.
• Drive AI-first product development and accelerate agentic AI initiatives.
• Partner closely with executive leadership, product, and engineering stakeholders.
• Improve engineering quality, execution speed, and delivery predictability.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across SaaS products.
• Establish a scalable engineering leadership model and organizational structure.
• Mentor engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
• Align engineering initiatives with business goals and commercial outcomes.

Must Have

• Proven experience as SVP Engineering, VP Engineering, CTO, Head of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong SaaS product engineering background.
• Experience leading engineering organizations through transformation, restructuring, or major process improvements.
• Deep understanding of modern software engineering practices.
• Recent hands-on experience with AI and Agentic AI solutions (within the last 12–18 months).
• Strong technical credibility with engineering teams.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with technical depth.
• Experience improving engineering execution, accountability, and delivery performance.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of product-driven environments.
• English level C1 or higher.
• Availability to work during US business hours.
