InApp Media Buyer (iGaming โ€“ Canada)

Our client is a performance-driven iGaming company focused on acquiring and retaining players in regulated Canadian markets, with a strong emphasis on responsible gaming and compliant advertising practices. The company partners exclusively with licensed operators and follows the latest Canadian standards for iGaming advertising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, launch, and manage in-app user acquisition campaigns across leading ad networks such as Unity, ironSource, AppLovin, Mintegral, and others for iGaming products targeting Canadian players, with a strong focus on regulated provinces such as Ontario.
  • Collaborate closely with UA, product, and analytics teams to define campaign goals (CPI, CPA, ROAS, LTV) and allocate budgets in line with Canadian market performance benchmarks.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily and optimize bids, budgets, creatives, and targeting to achieve KPIs while maintaining high traffic quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze cohort performance metrics (D1/D3/D7 retention, ARPU, ROAS) and make data-driven optimization decisions for the Canadian user base.
  • Segment traffic by province, OS, placement, and publisher to identify high-value audiences and eliminate low-quality inventory.
  • Work with MMPs and analytics tools such as Adjust, AppsFlyer, Kochava, Firebase, and internal BI systems to accurately track installs, in-app events, and user behavior throughout the funnel.
  • Identify, test, and scale new in-app traffic sources and channels relevant to Canadian iGaming audiences.
  • Prepare regular performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly) with key insights, optimization recommendations, and scaling opportunities, while keeping a clear focus on Canadian KPIs and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all creatives and messaging fully comply with Canadian iGaming regulations and industry standards (e.g., CGA Code, Ad Standards), including age restrictions, mandatory disclaimers, and responsible gaming guidelines.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an In-App Media Buyer, UA Manager, or Performance Marketer, preferably within online casino, sports betting, or the broader iGaming industry.
  • English and Russian proficiency at B2 level or higher.
  • Hands-on experience with at least 2โ€“3 in-app ad networks such as Unity, ironSource, AppLovin, TikTok Pangle, Mintegral, Liftoff, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel/Google Sheets knowledge and experience working with large datasets, pivot tables, and formulas.
  • Experience working with MMPs such as Adjust or AppsFlyer, along with a solid understanding of attribution models (click-through vs. view-through attribution, SKAN, etc.).
  • Strong performance marketing mindset with proven experience working toward KPIs such as CPI, CPA, ROAS, LTV, and retention metrics.
  • Experience conducting A/B tests for creatives, landing pages, bidding strategies, and audience targeting.
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher English level for effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience in fraud detection and traffic quality analysis (bot traffic, incentivized installs, low-intent users) will be considered a strong advantage.

Nice to Have

  • Experience running campaigns across additional paid channels such as Meta Ads, Google UAC, or TikTok Ads for Canadian or North American markets.
  • Knowledge of SQL or experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Understanding of iGaming market specifics and regulatory frameworks across Canadian provinces (especially Ontario), as well as other regions including LATAM, Asia, and Europe.
