HOME GROWN is a fast-growing seed and gardening brand with 180+ SKUs and an integrated supply chain through Heirloom Organics.
The company currently operates across Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shopify, and retail channels, and is scaling from $20M revenue in 2026 to $30M+ in 2027.
The Amazon side of the business is already established. Now the team is looking for someone to build and scale everything outside Amazon - including DTC, TikTok Shop, paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and creator partnerships.
⭐️ About the role:
This is a builder role, not an operator role. DTC is near zero today, TikTok Shop is already generating consistent revenue, although margins are currently in the low single digits.
Off-Amazon paid does not exist. Lifecycle exists but is dormant. The affiliate program needs to be ramped up and a proper system for managing creators needs to be created.
If you have built marketing engines from near-zero before, you will recognize the work and the upside. If you have only optimized established programs at large brands, this is not the role for you.
🚀 Your Mission
Lead HOME GROWN's external marketing across DTC, TikTok Shop, paid media, and brand. Build the demand engine and creative output that takes total company revenue from $20M to $30M+, partnering closely with the Amazon team so external channels grow as standalone businesses while amplifying the Amazon ecosystem
⏰ Working Conditions:
Full-time, remote
Working hours: mandatory overlap 8 AM – 12 PM EST, remaining hours flexible
English is required (all internal communication is in English)
📌 Responsibilities
🔸Own and scale all non-Amazon marketing channels
🔸Grow Shopify DTC revenue through CRO, funnel testing, offers, and creative experimentation
🔸Scale TikTok Shop performance while improving profitability
🔸Launch and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, Google, and TikTok
🔸Build and manage lifecycle marketing flows (email & SMS)
🔸Develop and structure the affiliate/influencer program
🔸Drive creative production for ads and short-form content
🔸Build scalable testing systems and performance reporting
🔸Work closely with freelancers, creators, and future in-house team members
🔸Partner with the Amazon team to strengthen the overall ecosystem and brand growth
🎯 What you will deliver in your first 12 to 18 months
✅TikTok Shop margin and flywheel. Maintain or grow current daily revenue. Lift contribution margin from low single digits to 10%+ by Dec 2026 or increase overall views, sales, and creator network which spills over into DTC or Amazon to justify low profit on TT. Ship 15+ original short-form videos per week.
✅DTC engine from near-zero. Hit $500k Shopify revenue by Dec 2026 by lifting site conversion from 0.014% to 0.3%+ through structured testing of hooks, angles, offers, and funnels. Enter Q4 2026 with a validated playbook ready to scale 100k+ months for Spring 2027.
✅Off-Amazon paid media. Stand up Meta, Google, and TikTok paid within 30 days of start. Establish baseline MER within 60 days. Hit 2.5x+ blended MER by Dec 2026 through disciplined creative testing.
✅Lifecycle engine. Core flows live within 60 days of start. Email and SMS contribute 25%+ of DTC revenue by Dec 2026. Reactivate the dormant 50k list without burning deliverability.
✅Affiliate program. Move from a handful of unmanaged creators to a managed program with 15-25+ active partners, documented standards, and clear performance tracking by Dec 2026.
✅Operational engine. Build a freelance bench producing measurable output by month 3. Hit AI-enabled creative volume by month 6: 30+ short-form videos per week, 50+ static ad variants per month, 3-5 winning formulas documented and scaled. 3-4 direct reports by Dec 2026.
🔍 Requirements
🔹Direct-response operator with brand sensibility. You have personally shipped hundreds of pieces of creative against ROAS or MER targets. You can defend why one variant beat another with reasoning, not vibes.
🔹Builder, not optimizer. You have started programs from zero with no team, no infrastructure, and no clean data. You can tell specific stories of 0-to-1 builds, including failures.
🔹Strong experience managing large advertising budgets ($10k+ monthly spend and above).
🔹TikTok Shop fluency is a strong plus. You understand creator dynamics, short-form content, and the GMV-versus-margin tradeoff. The team is looking for someone who can at least build and structure the channel before hiring a dedicated specialist.
🔹Unit economics literacy. You read a P&L. You understand MER, CAC, LTV, and contribution margin. You will not propose programs without modeling impact.
🔹AI fluency. You use AI tools natively in creative production: image and video generation, voice, ad variant generation, copy ideation. You can articulate where AI helps versus hurts. The volume targets above require it.
🔹Structured experimentation. You run disciplined testing cadences. You read creative performance daily, not weekly. You kill losers fast and double down on winners.
🔹Lifecycle execution. You have personally built or rebuilt Klaviyo (or equivalent) flows that moved metrics. You understand segmentation, deliverability, and the tradeoff between volume and engagement.
🔹Ship-first mentality. You translate plans into shipped work, not slides. You hit weekly commitments without follow-up. You share losing tests as openly as winners.
