Pickleheads is the #1 platform for organizing pickleball โ€” used by 127,000+ organizers to run round robins, leagues, and ladders. We're a small, fast-moving team and we're looking for a video editor to help us produce scroll-stopping short-form video ads for Meta (Facebook/Instagram).

The Role

You'll edit and produce 15-second to 60-second video ads for our paid social campaigns. This is performance creative โ€” every video exists to stop the scroll, communicate a hook, and drive action. You'll work from detailed creative briefs and collaborate directly with our growth team.

This is a part-time role (roughly 15-20 hours/week) with room to grow as our ad creative volume scales.

 

What You'll Do

  • Edit short-form video ads (15s, 30s, 60s) from raw footage, screen recordings, and stock assets
  • Add motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, and kinetic typography
  • Follow creative briefs that specify hooks, messaging, pacing, and visual direction
  • Produce multiple variations of each ad for A/B testing
  • Deliver platform-ready exports optimized for Meta ad specs (9:16, 1:1, 4:5)
  • Turn around edits quickly โ€” we test and iterate fast

 

What We're Looking For

  • Strong video editing skills (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut Pro, or similar)
  • Motion graphics ability โ€” animated text, lower thirds, simple animations (After Effects or equivalent)
  • Understanding of direct-response ad creative โ€” you know what makes someone stop scrolling
  • Ability to follow a creative brief closely while bringing your own polish and craft
  • Experience editing short-form content for paid social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
  • Reliable communication and turnaround times
  • Portfolio or reel showing short-form ad work or similar

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with UGC-style ad editing
  • Familiarity with Meta Ads performance metrics (CTR, hook rate, hold rate)
  • Ability to source and integrate stock footage/music

 

Compensation

$500โ€“$1,000/month depending on experience and hours. Paid monthly via wire or Wise.
