Business Analyst / QA
We are looking for a hands-on Business Analyst/Technical QA Engineer to serve as a critical bridge between business needs, product requirements, engineering execution, and quality assurance.
This is not a passive coordinator role. We need someone who is technical, detail-oriented, highly organized, and relentless about follow-through. The right person practices extreme ownership: they do not wait to be told what to do, do not drop balls, and do not hide behind ambiguity. They drive clarity, push work forward, identify risks early, and make sure the team ships high-quality outcomes.
You will work closely with product, engineering, stakeholders, and operations to define requirements, validate workflows, test functionality end-to-end, and ensure that what gets built actually solves the business problem.
What You Will Own
- Translate business needs, stakeholder feedback, and operational workflows into clear, actionable requirements
- Write and maintain high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications
- Partner closely with engineers to clarify scope, answer questions, and eliminate ambiguity during implementation
- Act as the first line of quality defense by validating features before they reach stakeholders or production
- Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases, regression suites, and end-to-end test scenarios
- Identify gaps, edge cases, inconsistencies, and hidden failure points across business logic and system behavior
- Triage bugs with precision, reproduce issues reliably, document findings clearly, and work with engineering through resolution
- Validate APIs, integrations, data flows, and system behavior across frontend and backend components
- Support UAT planning and execution with internal and external stakeholders
- Track deliverables aggressively and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Surface delivery risks, requirement conflicts, and quality concerns early, with proposed solutions
- Maintain strong documentation hygiene across tickets, flows, requirements, test artifacts, and release readiness
What We Are Looking For
Core Traits
- Extreme ownership: you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
- Hands-on mentality: you are willing to get into the details, test things yourself, and solve problems directly
- High agency: you move work forward without needing constant direction
- Strong communicator: you can work effectively with executives, operators, engineers, and QA
- Structured thinker: you bring order to messy situations and ambiguous requirements
- Quality-minded: you care deeply about correctness, usability, and operational reliability
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Technical BA, QA Engineer, or hybrid BA/QA role
- Strong experience writing:
- user stories
- acceptance criteria
- workflow diagrams
- functional requirements
- test cases
- bug reports
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile delivery
- Experience validating complex business workflows across multiple systems
- Ability to test both UI flows and backend behavior
- Experience working with APIs, JSON payloads, logs, and system integrations
- Strong bug reproduction, documentation, and defect triage skills
- Comfortable working directly with engineering teams on technical issues
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Postman, SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, browser dev tools, and test management tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple threads simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, radiology, operations, scheduling, call center, or workflow-heavy environments
- Experience with integration-heavy platforms, legacy systems, or data validation
- Familiarity with API testing, ETL/data verification, and cross-system reconciliation
- Experience supporting UAT with non-technical business stakeholders
- Exposure to automation testing frameworks is a plus, but this role is primarily for someone strong in manual, technical, investigative QA
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means:
- Requirements are clear before engineering starts
- Engineering spends less time guessing and reworking
- Bugs are found early, documented well, and resolved quickly
- Stakeholders trust that the team understands their workflows
- Releases are better organized, better tested, and higher quality
- Risks are flagged early instead of becoming late surprises
- The team moves faster because someone is constantly creating clarity and accountability
Who You Are
You are the kind of person who:
- notices what others miss
- asks the hard questions early
- challenges vague requirements
- tests beyond the happy path
- follows through until the issue is truly closed
- does not say βthatβs not my jobβ
- cares about the business outcome as much as the technical output
Why Join Us
You will join a team solving real operational and technical problems where quality, speed, and ownership matter. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be more than a note-taker or ticket manager. You will have real influence on how products are defined, built, validated, and delivered.
