We are currently looking for a Cloud DevOps Developer for our client in the rail transport sector.

Key details:
Start: As soon as possible, subject to agreement
Duration: Until 31 December 2026, with the option to extend
Scope: 100% workload, 100% remote

Essential requirements:
5 references: Strong IT affinity, understanding & architecture
1 reference: Database knowledge – in-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL / API
C1 German
In-depth knowledge of Python and AWS
Knowledge of the Linux server environment (no Windows)

Desired requirements:
The specialist should be able to understand Python code, develop concepts, identify potential for improvement and implement these in solutions in consultation with the specialist department
The specialist should have specialist knowledge in the field of Cloud DevOps.
Prepare documentation in German tailored to the target audience.

Responsibilities:
The service provider shall perform the following tasks:
*Conducting computational time tests
*Assisting with the setup and configuration of VMs and cloud infrastructure
*Identifying opportunities for optimisation based on code analysis
*Implementing identified performance improvements in Python, including in conjunction with a PostgreSQL database
*Integration of new features following approval by the specialist department
*Source code development and quality assurance
*Documentation of the developed code as executable text in the source code and in Confluence, so that the code can be understood by expert third parties. Appropriate documents must be prepared for the acceptance of the software by DB InfraGO
The relevant documentation must be produced
*Presentation of work results
*Training of internal staff so that they can understand, further develop and maintain the software
*Participation in the planning, design and implementation of software projects
*Testing and debugging software applications to ensure they meet specified quality standards
Participation in code reviews and provision of constructive feedback to other developers
Acceptance of the software is carried out by the client. This involves checking, amongst other things, whether the requirements have been met, whether the
software runs stably and reliably, and whether faults can be rectified quickly.
To perform the services listed above, the contractor’s designated agent shall be granted access to
the following tools/systems:
*Documentation platform: CONFLUENCE and Microsoft SHAREPOINT
*Project management tool: JIRA
To enable access to the above-mentioned tools/systems, the client shall provide the following essential
work equipment:
*DB User
*Laptop (Basic Workplace (BWP)) incl. MS Office 365 and VPN For use via the BWP, the Client shall
also provide the following essential licences:
*GitLab
The use of these tools/systems is essential to ensure a consistent and properly documented codebase when working with other service providers
and in-house developers.
