Engineering Lead

About the Role

We are building a game provider aggregator platform from scratch and looking for an Engineering Lead to design the architecture, drive technical execution, and build the engineering team from the ground up. You will be responsible for scalable, high‑load systems that integrate dozens (and later hundreds) of game providers while ensuring reliability, security, and performance for international operators.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical architecture and engineering roadmap of the aggregator platform.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high‑load backend systems (millions of API calls, low latency, fail‑safe flows).
• Build, hire, and mentor the engineering team (backend, frontend, QA, DevOps).
• Own system reliability, security, observability, and incident management.
• Design and supervise the integration framework with game providers and operators (REST/GraphQL, WebSocket, iFrame, etc.).
• Introduce and maintain engineering practices: code quality, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Business, and Compliance to align technology with commercial goals and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Tech Lead, Engineering Lead, or Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js).
• Strong background in iGaming, casino or sports‑betting platforms, ideally with experience in game aggregators, RGS, or casino‑front systems.
• Hands‑on experience building high‑load, scalable backend systems (distributed services, rate limiting, caching, queues).
• Proven ability to build and manage engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance reviews.
• Deep understanding of APIs, integrations, microservices, and platform architecture.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, and observability tools.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in a remote, international environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with game aggregation platforms or multi‑provider casino infrastructures.
• Familiarity with payment gateways, affiliate systems, or CRM/analytics stacks used in iGaming.

• Background in startups or fast‑growing companies from early stages.
