Operations Manager (Payments)

We are looking for an Payment Operations Manager to handle payment operations, merchant onboarding, banking processes, and partner communication within our payment infrastructure.

The role is focused on operational control, process ownership, and maintaining stable payment flows across merchants, PSPs, acquiring banks, and internal teams.
 

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily payment operations and transaction processing
• Handle merchant onboarding and MID acquisition processes
• Communicate with PSPs, acquiring banks, and payment providers
• Monitor approvals, declines, payment performance, and operational risks
• Support high-risk merchant onboarding and compliance procedures
• Resolve operational issues together with finance, support, and technical teams
• Improve internal workflows and operational efficiency
• Maintain reporting and operational transparency
   

Requirements:

• Experience in payment operations, merchant services, or FinTech
• Strong understanding of PSPs, acquiring, MIDs, payment gateways, and transaction flows
• Experience working with high-risk merchants
• Understanding of compliance and operational risk processes
• Ability to work independently and manage processes without constant supervision
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• English - Intermediate+
   

Will be a plus:

• Experience with US market payment processing
• Experience in startup environments
• Understanding of underwriting and fraud/risk controls
