Solution Architect (on-prem)

A program of projects within the Energy domain. We will work on various applications covering generation control, distribution control, transmission control, and service crews control. The implementation area of these products is very high-scale (e.g. country-wide systems).

We are looking for an Infrastructure Architect to help design and evolve a modern hybrid platform operating across on-premise infrastructure and Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and reliable foundations for enterprise-grade systems that integrate cloud-native services with private infrastructure and internal enterprise environments. You will play a key role in shaping the architecture of a distributed platform deployed in private environments, ensuring seamless connectivity between on-premise and cloud components while supporting security, resilience, observability, and operational excellence.

This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who understands not only infrastructure design, but also the practical realities of modern platforms based on Kubernetes, networking, automation, and hybrid integration. Technology landscape On-premise infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, hybrid platform architecture, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, enterprise networking, secure connectivity, and observability solutions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in infrastructure architecture, platform architecture, or solution architecture in enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of hybrid architecture patterns combining on-premise and cloud environments
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and private infrastructure environments
  • Solid knowledge of networking, including segmentation, routing, connectivity patterns, secure communication, and service exposure models
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native architectural principles
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform
  • Good understanding of security architecture and operational controls for private and hybrid environments
  • Experience designing for scalability, resilience, observability, and operational supportability
  • Ability to communicate architecture concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Good written and spoken communication in English

Nice to have:

  • Experience with private AKS environments
  • Experience with Gateway API and modern traffic management patterns
  • Familiarity with Azure networking and private service integration
  • Experience with enterprise observability and monitoring architectures
  • Experience in highly regulated or enterprise environments with strong security and governance requirements
  • Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity in hybrid systems
  • Hands-on background in DevOps, platform engineering, or systems engineering


Job responsibilities:

  • Design and evolve the infrastructure architecture supporting a hybrid platform integrated with Microsoft Azure
  • Define architecture standards and best practices for security, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and operational readiness
  • Design and support integration between on-premise systems, private infrastructure, and cloud-based services
  • Cooperate with DevOps, development, security, and platform teams to ensure architectural consistency across environments
  • Support the design of private Kubernetes-based environments and their integration with enterprise infrastructure
  • Provide guidance on network segmentation, routing, connectivity patterns, access models, and secure communication
  • Contribute to the architecture of platform traffic management and service exposure using modern Kubernetes-native approaches such as Gateway API
  • Support infrastructure standardization, automation, and lifecycle management across hybrid environments
  • Identify architectural risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and propose improvements to increase platform resilience and operational stability
  • Contribute to decisions related to high availability, backup, disaster recovery, observability, and operational supportability
  • Document architecture decisions, target-state designs, and implementation guidelines
  • Support technical discussions with stakeholders and help align business, security, and engineering requirements
