3D Artist (VR / Environment) – Historical Monastery Project

We are looking for a talented 3D Artist to join us on an exciting VR project focused on recreating a historical monastery environment.

🧩 Project Overview

You will recreate a historic monastery ruin as a stylized 3D environment for VR.
The focus lies on:

• Rebuilding walls and architectural structures
• Designing the ground with visible archaeological excavations
• Translating real-world references into a cohesive artistic 3D scene

All necessary reference materials and source data are provided.

The desired visual direction is stylized realism, similar to environments seen in modern video games (e.g. The Last of Us), with a strong emphasis on atmosphere and storytelling.

🎯 Your Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D models based on real-world references
• Design and texture environment assets (walls, ground, ruins)
• Ensure a consistent artistic and atmospheric look
• Optimize assets for VR performance
• Collaborate with our development team (Unity-based)

✅ Requirements

• Proven experience as a 3D Artist / Environment Artist
• Strong portfolio with environment work (preferably stylized realism)
• Good sense for aesthetics, lighting, and composition
• Experience with tools like Blender, Maya, Substance, ZBrush or similar
• Understanding of game-ready asset creation
• Experience with Unity is a plus
• Ability to work independently and bring creative input
