About us
We are building EVIQO - a company developing smart EV charging solutions for North American and European markets.
Our core product is a Level 2 smart home EV charger combined with a mobile app and software platform that allows users to monitor and remotely control charging, manage energy consumption, automate charging sessions, and save on electricity bills.
We work at the intersection of hardware, software, IoT product development, and international manufacturing.
About the role
This is not a classic Product Manager position.
We are looking for a strong Product Owner / Head of Product / Operational Product Lead who can take full ownership of the product (from idea to ready to ship condition), build systems, manage technical execution, and significantly reduce operational dependency on the founder.
This person becomes the central point between the founder, technical teams, operations, marketing, distribution, Amazon team, and D2C team.
The role is much closer to Product Owner + Operational Lead + Founder’s Right Hand than to a classic Product Manager.
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of the product (end-to-end)
- Managing operational processes from idea to execution
- Defining priorities and execution strategy
- Aligning business goals with product development
- Building transparent execution systems
- Managing technical and cross-functional teams
- Controlling delivery quality and deadlines
- Providing visibility and reporting to the founder
- Building and managing internal teams and/or external contractors across:
- Hardware R&D
- Firmware Development
- Backend Development
- Mobile Development
- Third-party integrations (exports + API)
Must-have requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IoT / hardware products in Product Owner / Head of Product / Head of R&D / Head of Development roles
- Strong hands-on experience in smart devices / IoT product development
- Experience managing technical teams and complex product development processes
- Experience working with remote teams
- Experience building teams or managing contractors
- Experience working with technical teams (backend, server, embedded, mobile)
- Strong ownership mindset and decision-making ability
- Ability to work independently in uncertainty
- Strong operational discipline and execution focus
- Upper-Intermediate+ English (all online meetings and writing communication is in English)
- Willingness to grow and earn MORE
Nice to have
- Experience with Amazon marketplace ecosystem
- Experience working with international manufacturing (for example China)
- Experience with D2C and distribution channels
- Understanding of product methodologies
