Social Media Specialist $

Who This Role Is For

This role is ideal for students or recent graduates from journalism, marketing, advertising, or communications faculties who want hands-on experience in B2B social media and employer branding.

Previous commercial SMM experience is not required.
You will work under the guidance of a marketing lead and follow a clear content plan and brand framework.

What You Will Do

  • Publish content according to an approved content calendar accoross companies social media profiles (Linkedin, Instagram, YouTube)
  • Write short posts captions in English based on the provided materials 
  • Select, adapt, or create simple branded visuals using Canva or Figma in collaboration with the designer
  • Monitor basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, clicks)
  • Prepare monthly performance summaries under supervision from the marketing team
  • Suggest ideas for content formats, visuals, or engagement improvements
  • Support employer branding content (team posts, internal culture, behind-the-scenes)
  • Ensure content is correctly formatted, proofread, and published on time

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • Interest in content marketing, communications, or digital media
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with structured tasks and follow guidelines
  • Basic skills in Canva or Figma not necessary but will be a plus
  • Good time management and reliability in meeting deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and accept feedback
  • English โ€” upper-intermediate (B2)
    Used for writing posts and internal communication
  • German โ€” beginner level (A2) is a strong plus
    Used mainly for reading comments or basic content adaptation

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Academic background in journalism, marketing, advertising, or communications
  • Basic familiarity with social media analytics (LinkedIn Insights, Meta tools)
  • Interest in B2B, consulting, technology, or employer branding
