Game Designer (Middle+) — Hyper-Casual / Hybrid-Casual Mobile Games to $1500

About Us:

We are a small but fast-growing team building and launching hyper-casual and hybrid-casual mobile games.
We work in short iterations: quickly test hypotheses, scale successful mechanics, and bring projects to стабиль product metrics.

We are looking for a Middle+ Game Designer who is ready not just to execute tasks, but to take ownership of game systems and impact product results.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Independently create and develop game concepts, including presenting and justifying design decisions
  • Design core gameplay, core loop, progression, and meta systems with a focus on retention and engagement
  • Design and balance levels (difficulty curve, pacing, variability, frustration control)
  • Own features or game systems end-to-end: from idea and documentation to release and post-launch analysis
  • Design and balance game economy (rewards, progression, difficulty) based on data
  • Generate hypotheses to improve retention and session depth, инициate product improvements
  • Prepare clear and structured game design documentation (GDD, feature specs, balance tables)
  • Create tasks for developers and artists, and ensure proper implementation
  • Participate in analyzing test results and making data-driven decisions

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Game Designer in mobile projects
  • Proven experience in launching hyper-casual and/or hybrid-casual games (with clear contribution and responsibilities)
  • Ability to independently design and develop game systems
  • Strong understanding of core loop, progression, difficulty curves, and retention mechanics
  • Experience designing game economy and working with balance tables
  • Experience working with product metrics (retention, LTV, ARPDAU, session depth, etc.)
  • Strong skills in system thinking and decomposition of mechanics
  • Portfolio is required (with description of your role and results)

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience leading prototypes to testing or soft launch
  • Understanding of F2P monetization and offers/events
  • Basic knowledge of Unity (for testing mechanics)
  • Experience with A/B testing and analytics
  • English sufficient for reading documentation and communication
